World Boxing Foundation Asia Pacific Heavyweight title

Post by Craig14 »

Just seen it on the Aussie schedule - 03-08-11 in New South Wales
Micheal Petchey, who hasn't fought since nov. 09 and been k'od inside 3 in 3 of his last 5 fights versus Auckland Auimatagi, who hasn't fought since march 2007 and hasn't won a fight since may 2003 for the vacant World Boxing Foundation Asia Pacific Heavyweight title - brilliant. Is there a more meaningless boxing title?

These days, one can get their hands on a belt/title at local Woolworths & Coles for 10 bucks. Astute shoppers are known to get WBA, WBC IBF etc @ K-mart for 10.99 which includes their respective Regional titles

I must concede the vacant IBF East/West European heavyweight title is a more obscure title but they look more worthy contenders for it. A Bosnian and a Tanzanian fighting for it - priceless.
