It definitely will happen. The question is, at what level, and when?crusader wrote:I posted that video because it provides an illustration of what I think might happen to Price in the pro ranks and because there are probably a lot of people who haven't seen it yet. Stiverne is definitely a big puncher, but Price was rocked on several other occasions in the amateurs, and his legs went a bit in his pro debut.

of that list Sprott, Sexton and Rogan are the only ones deserving of a high ranking because of records and achievements. All the rest are based on potential and not much else as they havent been tested (incl Fury)Karl Jade wrote:Sprott.funso banjo baby wrote:Dallas was very slow and didnt seem to have much power. We'll see what Richard Towers does....the next sensible oppp would be Zach Page, perfect test.
As for Price? he is still untested but certainly packs a big punch.
atm i have the domestic ratings like this,
Del Boy (British Champ)
Sprott
Perez
Price
Sexton
Rogan
Fury
Towers
Mcdermot
Larry O
Dallas
Howe

If you put Sexton as deserving then you have to put Del Boy there seeing as he has beaten him twicefunso banjo baby wrote:of that list Sprott, Sexton and Rogan are the only ones deserving of a high ranking because of records and achievements. Re: David Price-Tom Dallas
Felt quite bad for Dallas last night, that was a nasty KO.
Thankfully it came quickly and he didn't take a prolonged shellacking prior to it.
As for Price's chin, the same sort of stigma's been attached to both Haye and Wlad for as long as they've been campaigning and the occasional loss doesn't seem to have closed their books. A dodgy set of whiskers is one thing, it's another when they're set behind pedigree and a tremendous punch. He stacks up well against the rest of the other big undefeated europeans coming through.
It's obviously worrying seeing him waylaid as a young am, but he still looks to be far superior to the likes of Fury.

Tall, good skills, good power, question marks over his chin. Wouldn't be surprised to see him link up with Emanuel Steward in the Future.
Re: David Price-Tom Dallas
Tyson Fury might do that instead. The connection is already there. But, I suppose, if Price gets Manny Steward to train him, it adds another dimension to the Fury-Price rivalry.kevo wrote:Tall, good skills, good power, question marks over his chin. Looking at the two of them I think Steward would be more interested in working with Price. you're right though, it would add a nice edge to their rivalry.Asterix wrote:Tyson Fury might do that instead. You know fvck all about boxing with your ratings haha
Perez is based in Ireland and not on British ratings, Howe? Haha don't talk shite he nearly lost to rasani and has been kod of ingleby
Towers has fought no one not even a decent British journeyman he's so over rated it's unreal , why hasn't he boxed them ? Rabbit off if you ask me.
My top ten is this
Haye
Chisora
Fury
Sexton
Sprott
Price
Rogan
Harrison
Skelton
McDermott

I like the look of Price but people shouldnt get carried away with his win over Dallas, that fight was never going pasT 3/4 rounds even if Dallas had plenty time instead of late sub....his style hasnt changed much since the amatuers,im sure he will get caught with big shots along the way, until then we dont know how he will react...After the Klitschkos&Haye its a very weak division,so who knows.Like i say i like how Price is coming along&knocking people out at this level&do i think he can become a World Champion...NO WAY!!Gavler wrote:After looking at the video it seems Price hasnt changed his style very much. This man is so right, Lennox Lewis was ko 2 times and he still came back to regain his titles and let not forget Haye as well.Bomber 1 wrote:FtmPress wrote:You have to be kidding why would he need Emanuel Steward please tell me .kevo wrote:Tall, good skills, good power, question marks over his chin. Lennox was one of the most intelligent fighter i have worked with and i have to say the same about Price he not a Lennox Lewis but he is the best young heavyweight out there today and i believe will be a world champion inside the next 18 months
He and Franny Smith learn quick and are not afraid to ask question or listing to other something a lot of people do not do in boxing today.

Price's defence looked pretty tight Saturday night too which is a positive, he covered up pretty well when Dallas did come at him.FtmPress wrote:This man is so right, Lennox Lewis was ko 2 times and he still came back to regain his titles and let not forget Haye as well.Bomber 1 wrote:FtmPress wrote: You have to be kidding why would he need Emanuel Steward please tell me .

Any idea if the McDermott final eliminator will be Price's next fight Frank, or will Price have another fight in the interim?
