the tricks Ali used to pull are ten times worse and he is probably the single individual more responsible for boxings popularity than any other.
some people crack me up....you find the thought of watching 2 men trying their best to give the other brain damage entertaining...but you get all prim and proper about a poster....however 'sick' that may be.
Greeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaat fuking poster, now thats what I'm talking about!
WAR DAVID!!!! (shame he's going to get his head punched in though you gotta admire the nads on the man:-)
I mean you think Degale has had to hide his face? lol what about when Dave gets licked by a Klit?

I'm with you on this one fella and if that means being branded as someone with no sense of humour so be it. Quite how that poster is side-splittingly funny is beyond me...
distasteful in the extreme and to me in suggests that in Haye's mind he is a pretty firm underdog.
when u got confidence you don't really need tricks like this. Klitschko might be a great big robotic looking f*cker like Ivan Drago out of Rocky 4 but he's still a human being.
Perhaps they're banking on some kind of aggressive reaction that is what Haye and his team are aiming for.
Either way, I've had pretty much a gutful of Haye. I think Klitschko is going to beat him up for a bit then KO him.

It did it's job mate. Is controversy a good thing for selling a fight? I think so.

Poncey, the fight has already been sold. Are you seriously trying to tell me that unveiling that poster is going to make any significant impact on either stadium attendance or PPV numbers? It's impact is utterly negligible in that regard. There are also plenty of other ways to generate a 'buzz' without resorting to cheap, tacky stunts like that.
Where do i get one of those .
And in all honesty , it doesnt say anywhere that its meant to be Wladimir , its not even to advertise the fight is it ? its about that david haye knockouts game i keep hearing everyone say is so addictive , what is it ? iphone only app ?
Poncey wrote:You're misinterpreting. I'm not saying it's right. But it creates more discussion. Let's be honest, fighters have done much worse to promote a fight.
IMO Haye is playing the bad guy very shrewdly.
This fight is going to sell very well on ppv. The more incidents better the buy rate dare I say a scuffle at final press conference!
1. He is generating interest in the fight.
2. These tactics are more likely to draw Klit into a brawl, and Haye has much more chance in a shoot out compared to being on the end of that jab all night.
coco - do you really believe an intelligent person such Wladamir would get upset at such a bone-head prank as this??
I think we all know enough of the man to realise he is above such silly things.
Haye showed his true colours by refusing to be in Klitchskos company for fear of being shown to be intellectual inferior ..so now he does it from a distance.

Especially since it's the third time round for this particular 'gag'.
Couldn't he have punched off his pancreas or something, just for the sake of variety?

The artwork is a damn site better than the tripe on the T-Shirt.
I do think it's fairly tasteless but not that dreadful. In some ways stunts likethis bring boxing into the 21st century era - people like a bit of razzamatazz and WWE style stunts.
