Retirement? Losing a fight? That is the problem now with boxing, one or two losses and clowns like you are saying retire. How about one or two losses, go away learn from them, improve and rebuild? Sad culture we live in right now.

Dallas should stay well clear of Prizefighter for the time being. There's no shame in getting starched by a lad of Price's quality. Tom simply needs to get back in the gym and develop into the quality domestic operator he has the potential to be. If he stays in the game for the long haul I see his career being just a little shy of Sprottesque. He'll win about 6 to every one he loses.

That's right, Tom was expected to lose and can just carry on from where he was before Saturday night, a relative novice to the game.

Michael Sprott had three TKO losses and a PTS loss on his record before he fought Danny Williams for the British title the first time. He didn't retire. And whilst Sprott always just fell short at British title level, he's had a highly credible career, in my view.

I agree with what you wrote,Sprott has had a good career.I just cant see either hanging around if they lose.Just my opinion pal

Rugby footballers often get knocked out and they often lose. They don't give up after a couple of losses.

He was never going to be world class and as a result he's in no worse position then he was before- if I had him maybe a couple of confidence builders then McDermott or the chisora fury loser

imo this guy http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_ ... &cat=boxer is an idea next opponent for Dallas , positive record , something dallas hasnt got too many of on his own record , has been ko'd in a round by Danny Williams just a few months ago , would be a good confidence boost for Dallas in my opinion as he could potentially look at it as his best win so far on paper (record wise) , but in all fairness shouldnt be too much trouble for him , id epect it to be going no more than 2 rounds .

A fight with Larry O would be great! The winner goes back onto title contention and the loser rebuilds. All the young Heavyweights can come again after a loss or 2.

There's still a future in boxing for Dallas, I wouldn't have him go into Prizefighter , I'd get him a couple of domestic fights. Maybe Danny Hughes would be a good one for him.

He shouldn't just be written off because of one loss to a fighter who looks very assured.

He should be positive and *learn* from this fight, but particularly the previous one against Zack Page (which he should have lost, too).

Then come back stronger.

It is often rightly said that too much emphasis is put on the '0' nowadays: don't write him off just yet!

Well he's kind of found his level for now after the struggle against Page and now this, but he's only, what, 25, and was doing well albeit against low-level opposition. He needs to go away, get in shape and get a few confidence building wins under his belt and see how he improves. Far too early to write him off after taking on a guy who is way ahead of him in experience and to be fair, talent, at just four days' notice.

Ultimately, it's down to how much Tom really wants it. A fighter who is telling his corner 'he's bored' like he supposedly did during the Page fight.... well you have to wonder.
