Board AGM Tommorow

Post by princess »

Even though the BBBofC sent a crack force of undercover agents
Dressed as horses to put me out of action Hoping it would keep me
away Well I'm please to say I WILL be at the AGM in Manchester
tommorow Hope to see all my fellow licence holders there The more
that turn up and see what's happening the better Solidarity is
What's needed here See all the people that care about this

The only problem with The BBBofC is they give out to many licences to people with no experience and who could not run a bath let alone a professional sportsperson career or a boxing show.We all so have people getting trainers licences who could not train a dog to sit. Yes there are things that are wrong but so are there at The FA and The Jockey Club I notice is the ones who put less into the sport who are making all the noises and trying to cause trouble, This is a professional sport so if you want to play with the big boys put your hands in your pockets and putt some thing back into the business of boxing.

Board shouldn't have give them Licences All the
People above are going just to ask about the
Increase in licence fees and getting rid of
The finacial councils Whatever other people

Reading that makes me sound spanish.
Agree with what Jane says an AGM is there for anyone to go and ask questions about the organisations that they are members of.However small yr role maybe you still have a right to ask why things happen.
I cant think of anyone who puts the time or effort or cash without a healthy return that steve woods puts in but it looks like his place on his area council is being taken away from him? surely him going to find out why this is happining is his choice as a licenceholder to ask?

Area councils should be run by experienced independant people rather than licence holders that are financially interested.

Who are they to pass judgement on fellow licence holders?

Frank Maloney,Tommy gilmour,Ricky hatton,Andy Ayling,Richard poxon,Steve Wood,Jane Couch,Brendan and John Ingle,Glyn Rhodes,Joe Gallagher,Bruce Baker,Miranda Carter,Steve Goodwin,John swanson,Paul Graham(i think)Jim Evans,Tex woodward,Myself,Ken morton,Max maxwell,Curtis woodhouse,wayne reed,Anthony crolla,Joe Murray,Robin deakin,Kris laight,alain bihapibap,Geoff Hunter,Chris sanigar,Paul Speak,Paul gough and Tommy ghent. These are the guys from memory there were a few guys from up north who i didnt know but over all a great turn out and nearly all the major promoters represented as well as a lot of the grass roots guys and a fair amount of boxers.
Matt macklin was floating around but not in the meeting

Frank,Andy,Tommy Steve wood,Miranda carter,Bruce baker and the ingles realy led the way talking wise and put home some good points but all the licence holders were there to support each other and the board took on board what was said and came to an agreement that was needed.

P.S how good is my recall of faces

The plan to put up licence fees has been shelved and the new constitution has been put on the table untill the board have had discussion with a group of representive licence holders decided by the licence holders at a later date.

I wonder what the board would have said if I'd brought up Frans Botha not being allowed to fight in this country, even though the guy he beat in his last fight would almost certainly get permission.

never seen the Gallagher Gym members that you mentioned but I got there five minutes late so maybe they left before it started.

It was interesting to see how it all played out. I was sat behind Mirdanda and she was making some simple requests but board seemed to make hard work of the answers.

Thats Mr. Giles.

The only two that came across well are Robert Smith and the financial advisor, the rest of them (that spoke) came across like guys that didnt want to be found out. Defensive and passive aggressive.
