Joe and the lads were at our meeting before hand they had to get off as matt had a press work out scheduled but i kept them informed of events and they were there before to support and offer any help they could give.
It was great to see rivals in the boxing world standing together for the greater good

Thats Mr. Giles.

No figure head should behave like that around cameras, it's embarrassing to say the least.
It says a lot about the organisation he represents.

These are the guys from memory there were a few guys from up north who i didnt know but over all a great turn out and nearly all the major promoters represented as well as a lot of the grass roots guys and a fair amount of boxers.
Matt macklin was floating around but not in the meeting

Frank,Andy,Tommy Steve wood,Miranda carter,Bruce baker and the ingles realy led the way talking wise and put home some good points but all the licence holders were there to support each other and the board took on board what was said and came to an agreement that was needed.

P.S how good is my recall of faces
You only think that you saw me Jon!
Surley you gave me enough pelters as a ref to remember me? ha ha. I was the good looking sharp dressed guy from Scotland ha ha.

Paul i thought it was you but the life of a promoter is taking its toll you looked much more stressed than you ever did ring center :D
Plus going from the somber tones of black and white of a ref to the snazzy red and white stripes you were sporting yesterday was as good as a disguise.

No increase in licence fees and there was a proposal going through
To get rid of finacial area councils We stopped that going through and
5 key licence holders have to get round the table with the board at a later
Date Oh yeah and the key thing was Charlie Giles doesn't do
Everything for free

Obviously gets first class travel and hotel plus expenses plus supervisor fees.

Also gets best seats in the house for these major events and spends whole time embarrassing the organisation he represents by ruthlessly trying to get his head on tv wherever he goes.

If that's the limit of it, I don't necessarily think he can be fairly judged to have lied.

In my view, if the Board want a top quality, fully accountable chairman they should make the position a salaried one.
