Alvarez a lot more patient than I expected, Ryan cant let him get on top, has to reply when he can....get respect early...first round 10 9 canelo

R1: Canelo

Nothing happened in first 90 seconds. Canelo connected with a few body shots and then landed a nice hook and uppercut with 30 seconds left. Rhodes landed nothing of any note.

Canelo round 2. rhodes a bit tentative, but could be just settling in, working him out....

Rhodes just seems to be waiting. Can't see the point of all the switching.

R2: 20-18 SA

Another quiet start to the round. Rhodes trying to establish jab with no success. Two quick flurries and two striaght rights from Alvarez enough to give him the round. Rhodes still hasn't landed anything of any note.

wow, an ingle style fighter that can switch hit somewhat effectively. Still losing but the switching is working. Canelo doesnt really seem to know what to do

R3: 30-27 SA

Rhodes a bit more active and gets some success but still not enough to win the round as Alvarez is outpunching him and counter punching nicely.

"Not worried about points" I think his corner just said, maybe hoping to wear alvarez down to go for a late stoppage ?

R4: 40-35 SA

Rhodes jabbing nicely at start but SA ups the pace at 1:30 and lands vicious combos to head and body. Rhodes down from shot to temple, may have been slightly off balance.

Looks tough for Ryan, isn't really committing to his work but kind of understandable
