Wow. Glad we didn't go, then. Still, I am interested in seeing all of the results. The website was supposed to update hourly over the weekend, but they still don't have anything listed.

rampage it was really bad 3 judges instead of five. alot of bracket mistakes.open fights were put at one minute due to time issues. in the morn for the weigh inns they had copied all the losers instead of the winners from the night before alot of the kids didnt see there name that morning and left and they had to fight that night who knows if they ever weighed in im sure they went eat after they didnt see their name. announced some wrong winners and didnt catch it until championship day.just ask anyone who went

I went and was annoyed at the fact I had to box one minute rounds the second night :witzend: that really threw alot of us off especially those in the open division. I eventually went on to winning in the finals at 141 open but the tournament was jacked up from day one...

The tournament definatley had its low points, but in fairness to the organizers, it takes a lot of resposibility to run a tournament like that. This tournament is still in its early stages and has a lot of improving to do. but what we have to realize is that ITS ALL FOR FUN. I took two girls to the tournment, they both had a blast, i got frustrated at times but... they both won and i'll go back again

Seems to me they have been doing it long enough to run the tournament by the rules. 1 minute rounds for open boxers are against the rules; Title is NOT a group member with any kind of exceptions. There really isn't an excuse for the types of problems they had. Three instead of five judges is often the only alternative when there aren't enough officials. Unless Title requires Level 2 judges at their tournament, there is no restriction against Level 1 judges. Title is NOT a ranking, advancing tournament. It is an open invitational like Ringside, Ohio State Fair, etc.

the reason for the one minute rounds was because of the time frame for the night, it was getting late and still had several bouts to go, now granted they could have noticed that this was going to happen when they made the bout sheets and split the sessions up into a day session and night session, but did not do that.

:shame: :shame: :shame: :shame: :shame: :shame: :shame: :shame: :shame: :shame: :shame: :shame: :shame: :shame: :shame: :shame: :shame: :shame: This was by far the worst tournament I have ever been associated with in my 30 years of coaching, were do I start:
A female boxer judging bouts while she was participating in boxing tournament, terrible officiating, bouts being held after 12midnight, 1 minute rounds in the semi-finals with a 15 minute break in action, changing of scorecards, mismatched bouts were boxers that had lots of experience against boxers that had no inexperience, favoritism for boxers that were in and around Memphis Tennessee and that's just some of the good parts. This tournament had no integrity a lot of dishonesty and corruption to say the least. THIS TYPE OF BEHAVIOR IS RUINING AMATEUR BOXING AND WILL ONE DAY BRING IT TO ITS LOWEST POINT IF WE CONTINUE TO SUPPORT THESE TYPE OF EVENTS AND PROMOTERS THAT PUT THEM ON. THIS TOURNAMENT GETS A THUMBS DOWN WITH A MIDDLE FINGER. Boxers were told that their belts would be sent to them, yea right, when? when you come back next year for tournament. I would not advise anyone to partake in this tournament that travels afar, this tournament is basically for people that live near or in surrounding areas to this tournament that can afford to waste money on travel, food and hotels.
