Wlad/Haye
Re: Wlad/Haye
I thought David Haye was alright before all the Klitschko talk a few years ago. But he comes across as the nob stood in the bar with all his mates gobbin off.
I aint even a fan of Wladimir. But I do appreciate his skills. I have never been impressed by Haye.
I hope Klitschko knocks out and humiliates Haye.

He took Ray Austin out i think with a nice couple of left hooksDioufy wrote:I can't remember Wlad eveb throwing a left-hook. Wlad will go down, get back up on very dodgy legs, Haye will go for the kill, and get it. Haye might even take a few jabs and miss with the right, but Wlad never throws that straight right before round 6 anyways, and I don't think Haye can be knocked out with a jab when he'll be moving backwards. It'll look a lot like the Sanders fight.Karl Jade wrote: Don't get your hopes up guys. Wlad may be predictable but he's knocked out far tougher guys than David Haye with one left hook. .
I come across as a troll in this thread, but peeps on here know that I don't always talk shit, and have never posted such an outcome of a fight, especially regarding an underdog, with such CERTAINTY before. I felt that Haye would KO Wlad back in 09, and I am even more certain that he'll do it now.
If I had any money, it'd be going on a Haye KO.

Re: Wlad/Haye
I want Haye to win but i think Wlad will wear him down and stop him in about ten rounds.
Re: Wlad/Haye
I promise you that Wlad won't throw a left-hook against Haye. Austin and Haye is the epitomy of incomperable.jonp wrote:He took Ray Austin out i think with a nice couple of left hooksDioufy wrote:I can't remember Wlad eveb throwing a left-hook. Re: Wlad/Haye
People are still under-rating Haye's power?
Re: Wlad/Haye
No i was just helping you find a Wlad left hook as you said you couldnt remember seeing one.Just call me mr helpfull where boxing knowledge is concerned.
Re: Wlad/Haye
Wlad will come off the canvas if he has to, he's done it before. People seem to think Wlad will get brutally knocked out from a natural cruiser weight - Not happening.jtourettes wrote:People are still under-rating Haye's power?
Watch Haye go into retreat after that jab is planted in his face like every other opponent does

Name me a live opponent wlad has faced recently that we would consider anything other than c class.
Eddie Chambers is no C class opponent. C class = Audley Harrison, Monte Barett.

the fuk he doesnt.Karl Jade wrote:WThing is, Haye doesn't have the natural one-punch power of a Sanders or a Brewster.

Re: Wlad/Haye
I'm not saying that Haye is definitely going to win but belittling his power seems pretty silly to me. I know Ruiz was past his best but Haye put him on his arse when Haye was walking backwards which would certainly suggest he has decent pop at heavy.Cas wrote:Wlad will come off the canvas if he has to, he's done it before. Re: Wlad/Haye
Chambers isnt a c class opponent by todays hw crops standards, but he isnt compared to the general standards same with chag. If haye had fought him, you'd be slagging him off.Karl Jade wrote:kingfinn wrote:Yeah who's wlad fought and beat? chagaev is the best opponent on the list. Re: Wlad/Haye
Not trying to be funny here, but have you followed David Haye's career, at all? If you have then i am bemused as to why you think he is hype.mikewl wrote:I don't think there is anything to really backup the idea that Haye is the best opponent he has faced, based on who Haye's fought at HW, I think there were many other fighters Wlad has beat that had much better resumes than Haye.kingfinn wrote:based on what? Haye is the best opponent wlad has faced. And since wlads been sparked a few times thats not good.mikewl wrote:I think people are buying into Hayes talk a bit much.
I don't think Haye is in the same league as Wlad, Wlad is a level above and if Haye does win its gonna be by some lucky wild punch.
Wlad wins this 9 times out of 10, he is a vastly harder puncher, he has better skills, more experience at HW and will be the more confident fighter on the night, forget Haye's talk, if anyone will be entering the fight with some reservations it will be Haye.
Wlad is gonna leave alot of Brits dissapointed when he KO's Haye.
Haye has knocked some HW's down but they get back up, Wlad Knocks people down and they usually stay down, Haye does not have anywhere near the punch power of Wlad.
I don't mind who wins, hoping for a good fight but i'm just not buying into all the talk and hype and I view Hayes chances as very little.
Your comments tell me you have not. Believe it or not, Haye's career did not start with 3-4 HW opponents. He was top class amateur and a great CW.
Go watch all that and then comment on whether he is hype or not.
Anyone who can call him hype, in all seriousness, knows next to nothing about him.
People keep commenting on Wlad's jab....he wont land it like he did against those other unmotivated guys. I find it funny that some think he will be able to land it and land it often on Haye. He won't and thatS half the job done for Haye.
Re: Wlad/Haye
Great, more rubbish about all of those 'unmotivated' Klitschko opponents.
At least a few of them were under 37 and ranked in the top 10, unlike Ruiz and Audley.

Did you not watch him any earlier than that?
You pick out 2 opponents out, yet the fat or unmotivated or the plain just crap opponents Wlad has face, somehow becomes irrelevant because of Haye's list opponents @ HW. He did fight some top names @ CW, or did you not know that?

Name a Wlad opponent who has the talent AND ambition of HayeKarl Jade wrote:Great, more rubbish about all of those 'unmotivated' Klitschko opponents.

Name one who hasn't. Neither of us can accurately speculate on how ambitious one truly is. As fans, it's beyond us.Captain Hook wrote:Name a Wlad opponent who has the talent AND ambition of HayeKarl Jade wrote:Great, more rubbish about all of those 'unmotivated' Klitschko opponents.

As for talent, i'd say Eddie Chambers has as much talent as Haye, certainly. Corrie Sanders too.

Re: Wlad/Haye
And for the record, Chambers' win over Dimitrenko is better than anything Haye's got on his resume.

Amazing, that's all I can say and I'll leave it at that.
Haye REALLY gets under some peoples skin eh!
some mug on CS has just told me that sanders was more proven as a HW champion than Haye was.
sanders had two fights. he won one and lost the other.
Re: Wlad/Haye
As you genuinely believe that, not a lot I can say.Karl Jade wrote:And for the record, Chambers' win over Dimitrenko is better than anything Haye's got on his resume.
Probably best if you got watch Haye's career to date, not just his few HW fights.
Needless to say, I totally disagree. Totally.
Re: Wlad/Haye
im pretty sure haye ko'd a european champion in less than a minute to take that belt so chambers beating a european level fighter on an MD isnt that impressive. Thats even if we completely ignore that haye beat valuev a geniune world champion ranked 3rd or 4th in the world . And that dimintrenko took 12 rounds to beat sosnowski in his last fight (another euro level fighter) who is ranked below audley harrison and far far below mormeck in the world HW standings.bengulnaci1 wrote:As you genuinely believe that, not a lot I can say.Karl Jade wrote:And for the record, Chambers' win over Dimitrenko is better than anything Haye's got on his resume.

Dimitrenko??? what planet is this guy living on.
Also chambers had already lost to povetkin in povetkins 2nd ever championship distance fight and his like 15th or something fight ever.
Re: Wlad/Haye
There has been some great hyperbole in the build up to this fight, and pretty soon a lot of people are going to look like idiots. It's difficult for me to see how anyone--especially the people who think one fighter will destroy the other--can be so confident of the outcome. My guess is that they haven't taken into account both the strengths and weaknesses of each fighter; instead, they have only focused on the strengths of the fighter they are supporting and the weaknesses of the other fighter.
I won't be surprised if Haye wins, and I won't be surprised if Wlad wins, but I will be surprised if one of them is annihilated.
