Khan-Judah undercard falling apart
Khan-Judah undercard falling apart
Originally supposed to feature Julio-Smith, Peterson-Cayo and Simms-Quillin but now:
- Julio has pulled out of his bout to tend to a family matter.
- Peterson-Cayo has fallen through due to contract issues.
- Simms-Quillin over ten rounds is now the chief undercard support.
- Remainder of card features novices in six rounders against TBAs.
Remains to be seen what GoldenBoy will do to improve the card.

Do you reckon Premier Sports will pull it from PPV? ![[icon_e_biggrin.gif] :D](./images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)

They should put it on "regular" channel 5 instead!greenyox3 wrote:Do you reckon Premier Sports will pull it from PPV?

Can only agree: short-term monetary loss would result in long-term monetary/kudos/recognition gain.Newport Daz wrote:They should put it on "regular" channel 5 instead!greenyox3 wrote:Do you reckon Premier Sports will pull it from PPV?

Jesus, card collapse a month before the event? You have to wonder if these fights were ever really made in the first place under those circumstances. Can't see Primetime pulling the PPV, it's the main event that brings the buys in. But it would be nice if GBP made a bit of an effort to provide the buyers with a half decent night's boxing apart from the main event.
Re: Khan-Judah undercard falling apart
You do realise that the reason we're getting Fury vs Chisora on channel 5 is indirectly because of Amir Khan, Primetime and Channel 5 are one and the same and are using the free fight on channel 5 to advertise the PPV on Primetime so once again Khan brings Boxing back to mainstream television as he did with ITV.Newport Daz wrote:They should put it on "regular" channel 5 instead!greenyox3 wrote:Do you reckon Premier Sports will pull it from PPV?
As for the undercard they have 4 weeks to get some decent replacements so it should be fine.

It's Primetime chaps, not Premier - Primetime is the one owned by the same company that owns C5, Premier is the Setanta offshoot

This is why boxing remains a shambolic joke compared to other major sports.

Wot a Blagga!King Geedorah wrote:Yeah, it popped up around a century later and is was used in a slightly different context. Black guard can mean of low moral worth and other things. Blaggard is often used in the context of "Stop blaggarding me" or when an old man is chatting up a young girl using shit talk. "Stop blaggarding that young girl."The Dark Destroyer wrote:So blaggard comes from blackguard? I didn't know that, I thought he was making a joke that I just didn't understand.
