Wlad/Haye
Re: Wlad/Haye
A sensible point of view.
Its going to be entertaining and the adrenalin will be pumping.

No doubt; I haven't been this exicted for a fight in years. I'm not a big fan of Haye, but all credit to him for bringing back life to the division. It's going to be a great day for some people and a horrible day for others.bengulnaci1 wrote:A sensible point of view.

I think for me this is the biggest fight theres been. Eubank v benn, bruno v tyson i was still a young lad. Hatton and calzaghe fights have been a big deal but this if the fight thats got me really excited.crusader wrote:No doubt; I haven't been this exicted for a fight in years. Re: Wlad/Haye
Hatton vs Mayweather got me more excited at the time as I was a massive Hatton fan and truly believed he could do it. That got wiped out so by the Pacman fight I was more ready for a defeat.kingfinn wrote:I think for me this is the biggest fight theres been. Eubank v benn, bruno v tyson i was still a young lad. Probably best if you got watch Haye's career to date, not just his few HW fights.
Needless to say, I totally disagree. Totally.
At CW Haye's accomplishments are top drawer. But we're talking about a division in which Enzo Maccarinelli held a belt, for crying out loud.
Actually, there's a parallel to be draw with Enzo at CW and Haye at HW. Enzo got found out when he fought the best in the division, and so will Haye. Ultimately Haye isn't a champ, he's a belt holder because of his marketability. Chagaev and Holyfield beat Valuev far more convincingly, and anyone who saw those fights will agree.
Re: Wlad/Haye
no chag actually beat valuev as did haye. Holyfield was unlucky not to get the decision but didnt win as clearly as haye since haye didnt even get hit. Its irrelevent anyway because haye would beat both chag and holyfield.Karl Jade wrote:bengulnaci1 wrote:As you genuinely believe that, not a lot I can say.Karl Jade wrote:And for the record, Chambers' win over Dimitrenko is better than anything Haye's got on his resume.

If Haye wins, what will these folk say then?
Wlad was chinny, shot, gun shy blah blah blah??

no that wlad was drugged like last time he got a spankingbengulnaci1 wrote:If Haye wins, what will these folk say then?

Re: Wlad/Haye
I don't know if I've already posted this, but I think Haye will win by brutal KO.
Re: Wlad/Haye
It's relevant in the context that Valuev shouldn't have had the belt. And neither should Haye.kingfinn wrote:no chag actually beat valuev as did haye. Re: Wlad/Haye
At this stage of their careers, Haye beats Holyfield & Changaev and has beaten Ruiz and Valuev.
So it is irrelevant. He should be the Champion and he is.

Re: Wlad/Haye
I think Wlad will win. Wlad has proven himself as a real heavyweight world champion. People moan at his opponents, yet he has fought the best out of a bad bunch.
David Haye is unproven at heavyweight as that's a fact. He's fast enough and has enough power to beat Wlad. He's brings a completely new type of opponent and challenge to Wlad which he isn't used too. With that said David Haye hasn't fought anyone of the same class as Wlad. In fact he hasn't really fought anyone of note in the heavyweight division. Nikolai Valuev is terrible. A 100 year old holyfield beat him.
Looking at all the statistics you have to pick Wlad as the winner. That's why he's favourite with the bookies. I understand both sides of the coin though. I've placed a small bet of £25 on a Wlad KO,TKO,DQ @ 5/4 with a £25 free bet on it too!

Chagaev should have had the belt, and he was KOd by Wlad. It should be Wlad's belt, and thankfully will be in 9 days time.bengulnaci1 wrote:At this stage of their careers, Haye beats Holyfield & Changaev and has beaten Ruiz and Valuev.

Re: Wlad/Haye
I had initially gone with Haye to win this but over the last few weeks I can't see him doing it. Wlad is probably near his peak at present and a lot better fighter under Manny Steward than when losing to Brewester & Sanders.
If Haye does have a chance I think he has to try and jump on Wlad and knock him out of his rhythm from the opening bell, come in low with the jab to the midriff, get inside and then throw the overhand right.
The thing is I don't see him doing that, he'll stop on the outside looking to close the range before landing one big shot, this will be his downfall as Wlad has seen this time after time and will just methodically pick him apart with jabs and straight rights.

Any of you bitches still doubting me?

My prediction is are you David Haye - cant sleep tonight?? HahaDioufy wrote:Give me a prediction, matey?
How much you got on the fight if you are SO certain?!
Dunno how you can be so sure in a pick 'em fight
Re: Wlad/Haye
Wlad TKO 8. I find it difficult to predict, as Haye could surprise us in a number of ways (with his tactics), but I think Wlad's physical advantages are just too much.Dioufy wrote:Give me a prediction, matey?
