To boxing historians who happen to use BoxRec, how accurate is Bert Sugar's information in this video between and up to 4 mins of this vid?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYulCtjkCvQ
How do you rate these apparent facts he comes off with?
Is it true that the Johnson vs Langford fight originally went down as a win on both fighters records?
Johnson wouldn't fight Langford because "nobody wants to watch 2 black men fight for the world heavyweight championship"?
Dempsey's manager wouldn't let his fighter fight Langford because he wanted Dempsey to have "an easier fight" when Langford was blind in one eye and was 40 years old.
How accurate is this?

I haven't heard the Dempsey vs Langford one before... I have heard of the Dempsey vs Wills fight wwasn't allowed to happen.BarryWashington wrote:i've read about everything he said there except for it being a win in book of their record books.
It just strikes me that some of the claims that Sugar makes are a bit wild, and people take it as gospel because of Sugar's stature in the boxing world.
