Just checked the Russian website which is as follows
49 KGS Round scores 6-4 3-5 7-5=16-14
Apparently Alizada received a count and the Russians are not happy
52 kgs Round scores 3-1 3-4 7-5=13-10
No complaints from the Russians
56 kgs Round scores 4-3 7-6 5-5=15-14
No complaints
75 kgs Round scores 5-2 5-7 8-6=18-15
81 kgs Round scores 7-3 8-3 5-6=20-14
Comprehensive first two rounds for Joe
91 kgs Apparently Pulev quit because his punches werent being counted
+91 kgs Round scores 4-3 7-6 9-5
The Russian won all three rounds so it looks clear but I will watch later.
Overall they arent that disappointed they only had one national champion competing at Middleweight and he won.
European Senior Championships 2011
Re: European Senior Championships 2011
Saw most of them and yes they were amazing.
The bantam final was close as was the lightweight one(I thought Valentino edged it) Moylette won clearly as did Evans. Incidentally Ray beat Evans on his way to a world youth gold in Mexico several years ago.
The Russian won well at middle, a lot of people thought Ward lucky but I didn't. He picked up two points for a low blow in round two. Some talent he turns 18 at the end of October. Missed the heavy final but the S/H was strange, the Russian was strong, wild but effective with the Italian looking the better man but resigned to his fate.
