Welliver vs Tauasa

Post by Chauncy »

Heyall。
I fight June 28 vs. Lawrence Tuasa. I haven't posted here on boxrec for awhile now so just thought I'd let you guys know about this fight for the WBC Asia title as well as my WBO Asia Pacific title。

Thanks

Lawrence has not been up to much lately. Do you think he is trying to lull you into a false sense of security?

If he gets much heavier he is going to look like a beach ball!

Didn't realize you were still an editor???
Anyways, at the time I wrote that it was going to be for WBO but promoter decided against it. No big. Just keeping busy.

I didn't mind it, if we talking about the one with the Cuban bloke fighting out of Ireland in it.

It's OK once a couple of months, unlike that rubbish "Nitro" format that Angelo Hyder kept trying to force down our throats a while back.

Cedric Kushner had something similar with his three round "Thunderbox" tournaments in the USA, but the results did not go on the fighters' records.

Yeah, that Thunderbox Tournement was one of the dumbest ideas ever in boxing.

Thankfully it died at birth.

I think that three round bouts featuring main event fighters is a ridiculous concept.

maineventers, must shot their fightplan out the window, even their mental approach, i would still like to see Lamotta,Graziano, Marciano,Frazier andTyson in the same format,i suppose i can still dream, all the best

I did not.

He was pathetic from the opening bell.

I really thought Haye was going to make a fight of it; I fell for his bluster in the build-up.

Buster and Ben K predicted it correctly in here last week.

i think both guys gave each other too much respect, but there was HEAPS at stake, and nobody wanted to make a mistake.
