Reckon their styles would clash badly. Could see Brook winning a snoozefest and doing more harm to his rep than good.Old bones Ian wrote:Someone said Paul Malignaggi, that would make sense because of the coverage in America

While I'd love to see Matthew smack the smug looking Strum a good one, he's surely in for a beating here.
Re: tonights R by R
Paulie also make sense because he has no power (it would still be a good win for Kell, though).

I think Macklin needs to get the devil in his work tonight to stand a chanceMightyWarrior wrote:While I'd love to see Matthew smack the smug looking Strum a good one, he's surely in for a beating here.

OK, last call for Joe Gallagher, there's still time to run out of the arena at 49-0, Marciano'd up to the max.......
Reckon Sturm takes this widely on point, but may fade late. Good luck to Macklin though, hope he proves me wrong.

On the subject of opponents for Kell, i'd go for Alfonso Gomez

....not fit to carry my jockstrap!
Re: tonights R by R
I had a double on Brook and Sturm to both win on points tonight which would net me a decent sum but hope Macklin gives a good account of himself. He'll never get a decision though.

Round 1 Macklin 55 punches landed. Strum 10 landed.
Strum 10-9.
Strum 10-9.
Re: tonights R by R
10-9 Macklin. Sturm did little until the last minute. Great work, will be interesting to see if he can keep it up.......and we f*ck off to the ads....nice one Sky.

The Germans must be surprised that a foreigner actually has come to fight.

Re: tonights R by R
2-0 macklin - waiting for sturm to unload
Re: tonights R by R
I'm not convinced Macklin can keep this up, but he's doing a great job so far.

19- 19
even shots landed that round probs, sturms slightly sexier to the judges

Re: tonights R by R
I guarantee now that even if the next 10 rounds go the same way that Macklin won't get this decision. Just look at Huck v Lebedev a few months ago.
Re: tonights R by R
macklin looking good, have you seen sturms body, red raw!! jesus, great fight
Re: tonights R by R
Macklin can't keep this pace up for the whole fight. But then, Sturm can't take too many of these body punches either. Good fight
Re: tonights R by R
better round for sturm - but you'd have to say macklins round again.
