Very close fight. Depends what you liked, Macklin's workrate or Sturms accuracy.

Not ridiculous. Not a robbery. It came down to the last round and Sturm won it clearly to keep his title.

Was so obvious Sturm would get that comfortably. This should act as a stark warning to Haye that he needs the stoppage next week as he won't be nicking a decision.

Sturm won the fight, anyone who thought Macklin won is giving credit for blocked punches, the fight was decided in the last 3 rounds of all which Sturm won big.

Well it was alot closer than they give it but i'm not gonna give it the big one about a home town desicion - but I'd like to think with the amount of punches macklin threw he'd have got the decision in england - wow though he couldn't have fought any better.

Champions now know how to get it done at home; play the punching bag for 12 rds and throw a few and you'll be happy at the end.

Crappy perf by Sturm ( and i won on Sturm dec)

wow can't believe people thought sturm won easily I missed the 7th round but had macklin 5-1 before that, must admit sturm was better in the second half of the fight.

I had it 115 - 113 to Sturm but so many close rounds could have gone either way.

Cracking performance from Macklin though in what was an exceptional fight.

Really enjoyed that.

Roll on next Saturday!!

Par for the course in Germany, 99% of the time the local champ never loses on points.

That's why it was so amazing to see Haye get that decision over there, when you compare his effort v Valuev, against Macklin's tonight ??
I reckon the nod was given in the Valuev fight, as Haye was seen as the key to a mega Klitchko fight down the road.

If Haye fights Wlad like Macklin did tonight then Wlad would crap himself and fold inside 4 rounds though Haye might get disqualified for hitting Wlad.

Err no mate.

Valuev didn't land any decent shots vs Haye. Haye RJJd him.

Or he'd at least get a severe warning.
