Yes. Not saying he's pound for pound or anything yet; but world class for sure

Point is that no-one has ever stopped the guy.

Shows just hard Junior Witter punches, by the way - last night it looked like it'd take a cannonball to have Lovemore off his feet!

Brook did a better job than Alvarez, Cotto, Witter & Malignaggi IMO. Where would you put his performance in comparison with theirs?
He did a job on a guy well beaten by all those guys who's 39 and got a lot of miles on the clock. What he needs now is to get in with someone like Hatton and stop him in style then take on a good American and get some momentum going, because that's what his career has lacked.... momentum and consistent progression. It's been stop and start but no excuses now, he's got to get back in their asap against a better opponent each time out. Simples!
Completely agree. Would love the Hatton fight next but can't imagine them takin it ...

Yeah, i agree with your analysis. To use a football analogy, Kell moved last night from boxing lower league opponents to taking on a good, strong, upper championship team. He will have improved hugely frm the experience.

The difference in class between Ndou and all Kell's other opponents (other than Jennings) is immense. I thought Kell dealt with the step-up extremely and boxed beautifully for the most part. His footwork, accuracy, relexes, hand speed and power all looked top-class to me.

Next stop the Premiership!

I've said it all along. Kell's got most of the attributes you need to go far but he gets hit too often for me. Always has done.

Then again, so does Carl Froch and he isn't doing badly. I'd just like to see Kell tighten up this one aspect but it was a good performance against a really tough bastard.

Weather you think Brook is world class or not, you have to give credit on that performance. He dominated someone who doesn't normally get dominated.

That was a real let down as he couldn't of picked a better time to fight Lovemore in his career.

As for G Mccrory saying that's the best job anyone has done on N'dou !!!!!!!

Is he crazy or does he just not do his homework ?

He needs to look no further than Kells stablemate Witter.

Witter boxed N'dou in his prime (2005)and at his correct weight and did a great job on him dumping him on his arse quite heavily about 2/3 times.

N'dou went to he'll and back in that fight and did unbelievably well to survive......

Witter had a great half of the fight but take away the 2 knockdowns and he walks away with a draw. N'Dou came on strong over the 2nd half and ran Witter close.

I'm not saying Kell's win is more impressive as it isn't but Junior didn't dominate N'dou by any stretch.

But then Malignaggi put him down in their first fight also.

I might be coming across as a hater, but Kell is just overrated to me. Ndou is super slow, anyone who fights tricky like Kell can look good vs someone like Ndou.

Get him in with someone decent and we'll see what he's made of.

He catches shots too much for me, like Ian said.

I don't think Brook has enough gears, enough pop and a tight enough defence to make it to the very top. But he performed well last night, it wasn't dull and it was nice to see the Sheffield crowd really get behind him.

What is it with posters crearting negativity around our lads ?
I'm sure no one is saying he's the second coming or anything like that, but Ezekiel is a talent, and I'm absolutely convinced that when his chance arrives he'll take it.
What bemuses me the most is that it has taken this long to let the kid headline in Sheffield.
Well done Matchroom.

Sorry mate you heard it on here first from me, ask Dan :D

Sadly the kid aint got it, anyone can see that.
. Jon, both of your sentences above made me laugh! Hope you enjoyed the fight mate

I sort of did Dan but I would have rather he was in with a live dog and tbh I didnt enjoy it (and yet and old carthorse still landed waaaaaaay to much on him btw) as much as the Macklin fight.

For the record I have quite a few friends in your city.

Trust me Kel is gonna get brutaly ko'ed by a non shot fighter at some point.

He took a fair few unnecessary shots but he's an exciting fighter that's for sure, he must have learnt a lot from the 12 last night though

Good experience for him in that fight, I thought it was a clever match up beforehand and so it proved to be. I never did agree with people assuming Ndou would fall over once Brook connected.

Brook has some nice skills, but for me is still a work in progress, this fight was a good start, he can only get better from here.

It was a good job by matchroom with the show too.

To cut Kell some slack, he ain't boxed a live opponent for around a year since Jennings.

N'dou is always the same usually and Kell bossed him from beginning to end. N'dou wasn't allowed to bluster forwards as per normal.

We'll know more about his potential when he faces an equally skilled and ambitious opponent. But in the meantime I thought generally he did everything correct.

I agree with this Ian, remember watching him at magna vs thorpe i think? and was suprised at how often he got tagged and in the ams vs John Fewkes. I think its lazy writing for people to call him 'typical Ingle' fighter. Although he's no slouch in the reflex/footwork dept he is very much a front foot counter puncher.
