Kell Brook who next
Kell Brook who next
Who would you like to see Kell Brook fight next, I would like to see either Malignaggi, Hatton, Jones, Jackwicz any of these be good.
Re: Kell Brook who next

Re: Kell Brook who next

Re: Kell Brook who next
Alfonso Gomez, he's rated in the world but beatable and has the style to make Kell look good.
Re: Kell Brook who next
Malinaggi and Gomez do sound iteresting. Maybe Mike Jones for a title Elimanator? It will be one of the 3 above I think.

Hatton Please for the EBU belt

Re: Kell Brook who next
Karass and Malignaggi would be ideal for his next 2. There not going to get beat by mugs and are very decent world level operators, beating them 2 would put him in much better stead when it comes to an eliminator against a Mike Jones type of guy.
Re: Kell Brook who next
Selcuk Aydin.
Similar age and record, he isn't bad either.
From a promotional angle, i'd favour Paulie or similar.

Re: Kell Brook who next
He couldn't stop N'dou, so why are you so confident that he could stop either of these two solid chinned fighters who are generally considered to be better than N'dou?TJ77 wrote:yeah i agree i think hatton or malinaggi he would stop either of those nice little confidence booster
Brook's power doesn't deserve this sort of hype.

Re: Kell Brook who next
Malignaggi is a backwards step for me. He got schooled by Hatton & Khan at Light-Welterweight. Hearn should think big and try to set up a fight with Shane Mosley, that would be attraction on both sides of the atlantic.
Re: Kell Brook who next
What about someone like Juan Urango or even IBO champ Chris Van Heerden? If they can get the fights on maybe Joel Julio or Randall Bailey? I think someone like Paulie Malignanggi and Alfonso Gomez should be saved for his first defence.
Re: Kell Brook who next
I think Brook will beat Malinaggi, Jones or Gomez. I hear what your saying about Jones not fighting unless its for a World Title but I really do think Kell Would beat him. Will Brook be willing to travel for the big fights? Oh and av never tried the cereal Special K so can't comment. Am sure woman actually do a diet consisting of 3bowls of that stuff everyday for 2weeks. Malignaggi is a good shout, extremely capable fighter, former world champion, decent resume and very well known. It'll be a good learning fight for him. Malignaggi should be looking for a fight somewhere around October, so it's possible.
Ooh, scrap that. His next fight should be against whomever nicknamed him 'Special K'.
Special K is that breakfast cereal, innit? The one that women who talk comfortably to everyone who'll hear about their bowel habits and their terminal constipation, seem to love so much.
Re: Kell Brook who next
I keep on forgetting that Brook's still relatively young, barely 25.
Ndou was a good choice, even if he doesn't quite cut the same 'gatekeeper to world class' figure he used to a few years back. Still, he gave some very good fighters a torrid time on their way up, even when the eventual scorecards didn't quite reflect it.
Hard to say who a follow-up opponent should be. Someone like Gomez could showcase Brook a bit, Karass would be a harder nut to crack but would bring more kudos than name recognition.
I wouldn't go after Jones (even if it could be made), just because I think Jones is currently very underrated on the back of the Karass double and could prove to be a massive banana skin.
Wouldn't put him in with Aydin, yet.
Haven't seen anything of IBF holder Zaveck and I doubt he'd fancy giving someone as potentially risky as Brook a shot unless there was a lump sum on offer.
Malignaggi would be a decent shout, if it could be made. He's not the threat he used to be, couldn't crack an egg and seems to get hit a lot more frequently than he used to.
Even at 25, he shouldn't be hanging around with his style. I'd say Malignaggi or Karass next and if that goes well, take a real risk.

Re: Kell Brook who next
what age is he? 25?shouldnt he have been moved faster ala Froch??
I say put him in with James Kirkland, he's chinny as fornicate.
Or match him with somone who actually wants to win.

Re: Kell Brook who next
Haton, Paulie
Mike Jones
Mike Jones
Re: Kell Brook who next
I don't see the point of fighting Paulie to be honest.
I'd prefer Alfonso Gomez, he's natural at the weight and is a good, if not exceptional fighter.
I think Saturday answered a few questions about Kell to be honest, and I'm encouraged by what I saw. It's certainly more impressive than blasting out fighters like Philip Kotey inside a couple of rounds.
Just stick him in, I say.

But he's not a light-middleweight, Jon! Why would he box him?Jon Saxon wrote:what age is he? 25?shouldnt he have been moved faster ala Froch??

Funny, the only other people who have suggested Kell move up to LM were the guys at FWP who offered Kell a shot at K-9.
Never heard anyone else suggest it.
Re: Kell Brook who next
Hatton, Mallinagi, Soto Karass, I think someone around his ranking at world level top 15 he would do a job on.
Gomez, Jones etc even try and push for Berto
He would fight anyone

Mosley? Malignani? Come on guys, Matchroom likley can't afford these fights when he is fighting in leisure centres
Gomez would be good and would give Kell one hell of a fight (think he probably beats him tbh) and probably could be brought over

Re: Kell Brook who next
Could Matchroom get him on the Froch/Ward undercard for bit of exposure?
