I see that Romanov fought on the Don King card last night. Good to see him back. Why didn't he fight for so long?

Classy boxers but just goes AWOL for long periods. I wonder if he is going to get more active or if this is just a one off & he will disappear again.

I spoke to his old manager Phillipe Fondu (?), who said opportunities were turned down by him and thus they parted ways.

Reminded me a lot of a belarusian Barrera, the way he held himself and punch selection. Waste of talent IMO. Beating Murray and Vanzie in their prime before he was 23- not many would do that.

If he's with Don King, that could be why. I've read that many Don King fighters suffer from long bouts of inactivity.

Earl never won that fight in a million years.

I was embarrassed when it was called.

Agreed. Also among Frank Maloneys best match making, in relation to timing.
