Boente says "The British fans don't like Haye"!

Post by Finn »

So according to Boente us brits are supporting Wlad.

I heard Wlad himself say this on a radio interview too.

I've personally only met a few people from Britain who arent supporting Haye and most of them post on here lol. I went to the Ruiz fight and i'm pretty certain Haye's support was absolutely overwhelming.

So where are they getting this idea from?

Eitherway considering how loud the macklin fans were at the sturm fight, i think boente and the klitschkos are going to be in for a shock when they arrive for the ring walk to be greeted by extremely vocal Haye fans, while their own support sits in silence as usual.

If Boente actually believes this then he is completely fornicating deluded. He clearly has no idea about British boxing fans who create a football stadium atmosphere as opposed to the conservative, quiet middle class crowd at German boxing events who know eff all about the sport and go for a posh night out. He probably believes that we consider Haye's brashness to be vulgar because this is how Klitschko's German "fan" base would consider such an attitude to be.

Ha I love Haye and have followed his career closely since he was on BBC, I also think most people in UK would support Haye over Klitschko any day of the week. Bloody Borat.

I'd imagine that the vast majority of Brits who travel over and will be in the stadium will be supporting Haye but i've spoke to a few people here who actually want to see him shut up and are wanting Wlad to win.

English people not supporting Haye should be in the Tower of London with William Wallace, Anne Boleyn and the Chuckle Brothers. :shame:

I really admire Haye and Booth for what they've done, particularly with the way they've taken on the 'establishment' on their own terms.

But there's no doubt that some of his comments/antics have alienated certain people. When Wladimir came over here he was incredibly charming, accommodating, funny and classy. He won a lot of people over.

Do you not realise that Haye is playing up to the cameras with his Mr. Nasty act? He's reaching out to the most base members of society in order to secure their braying support and as many £15.99s as he can get. The people jumping on the "Borat" bandwagon remind me a bit of those who used to watch 'till death us do part and think that Alf Garnett was speaking on their behalf.
It was actually klitschko that brought up the whole borat thing on ringside saying he saw sacha baron cohen in london and started doing the borat accent because he is from khasakstan too. Then in all the press confrences after he complained that haye had compared him to borat.

I can't stand Haye, so yeah..... I want Klitschko to win.

And I'm pretty sure he will do.

Haye's HW career is all smoke and mirrors I'm afraid.

Its been a career to maxmise revenue with minimal risk of being stopped before a big fight with Wlad or Vitali!

David Haye must win for the sake of the Heavyweight Division, simply put if Wladimir wins it would be a disaster!

Wlad is a nice guy but also a Joke as the so called Heavyweight Champion of the World.

Wlad loses to Ross Puritty - Big Bro steps in to avenge the loss
Wlad loses to Corrie Sanders - Big Bro steps in to avenge the loss
Wlad loses to Lamon Brewster - Big Bro is RETIRED DOH! ok wait till Brewster gets the stuffing knocked out of him by some other guys and is rendered blind in one eye then bring him to Germany after he's been out of the ring for 3 years and can't get licensed in America due to his poor vision.
Wlad gets dropped 3 times against Sam Peter - Big Bro steps in to knock the shit out of Peter before it's ok to face him again.

We need Haye to knock Wlad out sensationally inside 6 rounds and then set up an UNDISPUTED HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE FIGHT with Vitali and finally put an end to the sham thats been the Heavyweight division for last 7 years.

It would be better if David didn't intend to retire, so if he does somehow hit the lottery and wins against both Klitschko's he retires and leaves the division completely in tatters.

When Lennox retired it wasn't so bad as Vitali put up such a good fight and things transitioned to him fairly well, if Haye wins and then leaves its gonna be terrible for the division, with each belt most likely ending up in different fighters hands.

So fighters can't lose any fights now? Give your head a shake man. Wlad has overcome those losses to become the #1 Heavyweight in the World.

It's a fight that had much more interest back in the day. He's put lots of people off with his constant distasteful behaviour and the blatant cash grab with Harrison.

You reap what you sow, and I'm afraid Haye has blown in it that respect.

What the hell has Wlad done? 55-3 (49) is what he's done, practically cleared out the division apart from his brother and a loudmouthed dickhead - who'll become victim 56 on Saturday.

As for Valuev, Holyfield did just as good a job as Haye did.

People need to stop listening to what Steve ''The Flagwaver'' Bunce constantly peddles for him and see Haye for what he is. A good fighter, but a brilliant opportunist. Little else needs to be said.

Amongst the countless other things Wladimir has done, he was ready and willing to give the people the fight they want two years ago. Haye was the one who claimed to get injured remember.

yeah before haye was as big a risk and not very well known, for not very much money. Now he's getting a 50/50 split and the whole world will be watching. we all know why haye pulled out back then - setanta.I think he did the right thing and it shows now because the fight is so big.

Just LMAO at this!!! WTF!!??

So you'd rather support a robotic, boring, but efficient fighter who has killed the HW division, than a new British kid on the block who has actually brought a bit of excitment back to the division? You people are mental, mental I tell thee.

Where the hell is this excitement?

The Valuev fight? The Harrison fight?

He's a money grabbing opportunist, nothing more, nothing less. I fail to see what the self proclaimed ''saviour of the division'' has actually done.

Enlighten me, please
