Can David Haye win on points ?????
After the Macklin farce and if he wins well can they sting him as bad as what happened to Macklin ????surley not ???
Re: Can David Haye win on points ?????
Did Macklin really get 'stung'? Plenty people had Sturm winning the fight and while 4 rounds perhaps flattered him it was hardly a disgraceful or outrageous result.
As for the question, I don't see the judges giving rounds that Haye clearly wins to Wlad just because he is the 'home' fighter. Therefore Haye can potentially win on points. What's stopping him is more likely to be his tactics rather than the judges honesty.

Re: Can David Haye win on points ?????
I had Sturm winning 2 rounds but haye isnt going to be waiding in like Macklin who was just mauling all night so its out of the equasion.
Re: Can David Haye win on points ?????
I've put some money on haye to win in the distance so im hoping it doesnt go past 12. But after watching Groves v Degale nothing would suprise me.
On the other hand wlad isnt a novice that is going to be confused by clever boxing for very long especially not with manny s in the corner. So i predict stoppage in the mid rounds.
i want to see haye ko wlad then jump up on the ropes and shout at vitali like that big guy in blood sport does to bolo yeung.

Most people thought the Macklin-Sturm decision (not the exact scoring) was fair.wesley05 wrote:After the Macklin farce and if he wins well can they sting him as bad as what happened to Macklin ????surley not ???
As for Haye-Klit, I have no idea how partisan the judges will be, but even if they are perfectly neutral, Haye by decision will be the least likely result due to styles and attributes.
Re: Can David Haye win on points ?????
Most who watched Haye V Valuev didn`t expect Haye to get that verdict .. but he did of course.
If he wins rounds clearly, then he`ll get the rounds marked for him ... any close rounds though .. I do see them going to Wlad ... in much the same way as you would expect close rounds to be marked for the home fighter in others countries also.

Re: Can David Haye win on points ?????
Finding it hard to picture Haye winning on points, not down to hometown decisions etc, just tactics. He fought defensively for the points win against a far less talented and immobile Valuev and just squeaked a split. Can't see him winning enough rounds and pulling that off against Wlad personally. Will need to throw far more punches.

I agree, and I think that a stoppage is more likely if Haye is throwing and landing enough punches to win most of the rounds.Goz wrote:Finding it hard to picture Haye winning on points, not down to hometown decisions etc, just tactics. Like Haye's gonna outbox Wladimir Klitschko, man. He barely got past Valuev.

why what round did you give to valuev? and how many punches did valuev land?Karl Jade wrote:Like Haye's gonna outbox Wladimir Klitschko, man. He barely got past Valuev.

And let's not forget that Haye hardly threw his right in that fight after injuring it early on. His gameplan would have been based on two working hands, so the fact that he adapted and won is mightily impressive.kingfinn wrote:why what round did you give to valuev? and how many punches did valuev land?Karl Jade wrote:Like Haye's gonna outbox Wladimir Klitschko, man. No he won't, there's no way he'll be able to refrain from knocking out Wlad for 12 rounds. Haye KO 3
