I would be cancelling or just turn up fashionably late. Or even better, turn up, get on a few photos, nip for a fag around 9pm and get off home in time for the start.

Not my style, mate, and if I catch anybody else doing that at the wedding, I'll be having a word in their ear to tell them to show a bit more respect to the people who have invited them.
I went to a wedding once and we was all at the back of the church listening to a spurs game on the radio (it was before mobile phones) and I know you won't believe it but spurs scored twice and we stayed quiet and didn't ruin there day - we all had tickets for the game so the happy couple kind of understood, I think you'll get away with it.

I remember watching Bruno v McCall at my cousins wedding on a small TV in the bar above the room where the reception was. Stood cheering on big Frank with my dad, my uncle, the groom and his best man! The women were all heavy into the babychams and screaming at Black Lace to even notice we'd gone. Great night.

I'll be making my way back from Hyde Park so there's a fair chance someone is going to spoil it for me.

You guys are far too nice - I would be speaking quietly to the wedding venue and seeing if a TV anywhere could show the boxing for me, or I would be nipping out to a pub if there was one nearby. I have waited years to see this fight.

You could always pretend you were just going for a really long poo.........

Don't know yet, if I can find a pub showing it yes, the missus has the house on saturday night for her hen party so I need to dump the kids at my parents and then go and get pissed and hopefully find a place showing it.

No offence, MachoMan09, but this comment makes you seem like a tosser.

Horse, you only ever seem to pop up on here when there's an opportunity to present a contrary view or be deliberately provocative. It's the easiest thing in the world to be a critic and I long for the day when you pop up on here with something constructive or interesting to say...
