I'd be tempted myself - If he plants one on Haye early, he definitely has the power to stop him cold.
I don't want to sound rude mate, but you're talking rubbish. Check Wlad's record.
Err no I'm not...you do sound rude, not to mention ignorant.

Wlad is a CAREER HEAVYWEIGHT - as have been all of his prior opponents in the last 10 years. Haye has been decked by Lolenga Mock who was a blown up super middleweight, and Jean Mark Mormeck.

Haye at the end of the day has very little form at heavyweight, and hasn't actually been tagged very often. He also hasn't fought anyone with Wlads combination of size, power, skills and experience.

Name one fighter on Wlad's record from the last 10 years, that you reckon Haye has a better chin than at heavyweight.

Maybe Fabio Moli - but again, Moli has spent an entire career at heavyweight. Oh and Wlad knocked him out in a round.

Don't be surprised to see Haye's knees dip the first time he takes a big jab.
Firstly Haye hasn't lost at heavyweight, so his chin ain't that bad.

Worse chin than Haye at hevayweight - the list....

Anyone who is thinking of betting on an early Wlad KO; don't forget that Wlad will want it to go near the end as the German fans prefer that, and Wlad will make more money through between round advertising. Wlad will only score an early KO if Haye pushes it.
wlad knows how dangerous haye is in there, every second haye is there he is dangerous, wladimir will want haye out of there early, thats where my money lies!

Get real mate, England is still one of the richest nations on earth - and has a society which people flock from all corners of the world to get to.

And who said that being the biggest and richest is best.

This country has it's problems, but go look around the world a bit mate, you'll soon put it into perspective.

I came back from Rio recently, one of the major cities of South America, and step away from the glitz of Ipanema and Copacobana, and see the real Rio and your realise how inequitable Brazilian society is, and how much grinding poverty, destitution and death there is on the streets, and that's not even in the Favela's, I'm just talking about regular neighborhoods.

I'm proud to be from this country, my family came here from Ireland in the 1950's, and were able to build a life here. London in particular, for all of it's flaws, is an incredible, cosmopolitan and vibrant city which is the envy of the world.

We're not getting upset, we're just scratching our heads.
Exactly. I'm just not sure what relevance a 70-year old war between the allies (USA, GB, France etc) versus Germany has on a boxing match between an Englishman and a Ukrainian. But i'm not overly upset about it - I just find it strange and a bit embarrasing.

James, I've been to enough of the shitholes of the world fighting for this country to be able to put things in perspective if I were comparing the UK to said shitholes. That's not what I'm doing. I'm comparing the UK now to the UK as it was. Not so long ago we probably could go around the place with a bit of swagger; these days we're a relative also ran and we seem to be the last people to realise that.
so you're saayin that we're 'worse' now because we like to pretend we dominate the world than when we WERE the worlds only super power and actually murdering thousands of people in the name of empire?

Haye has fought against garbage at heavyweight - his best win, Valuev, was beaten in much more convincing fashion by Chagaev, who barely broke a sweat. Chagaev also landed far more punches on Valuev than Haye did.

Ruiz, Barrett, Bonin, Harrison - hardly bloody luminaries are they. Ruiz and Barrett were well and truly past it. Harrison was never much cop, christ, Bonin is so bad he actually got stopped by Harrison!!

No I'm not saying that mate. Styles make fights, so a big punch is not necessarily going to land on the a different guy.

However, you did say a better chin at heavyweight.

Going down is one thing, staying down is another. Do I think Haye would have beaten by Sanders.

Me too. I really liked the look of Wlad at the weigh-in. Focussed. But I have always thought this is a win for Wlad.

Probably a bad choice to prove your point, as many, me included, would give the Sanders that beat Vlad a decent chance of beating Haye. If Sanders had actually given a shit about his career he could have been very, very tasty - fast hands and power and a southpaw to boot. He was a waste of talent.

I don't know if 'worse' is the correct word to use. The chanting sounds stupid now, it would have sounded stupid then, not that it was done then. Our former actions spoke far louder than any daft chanting would've done.
what do you think of the haka?

As in the Maori dance? I think it's Better than Big Fish, Little Fish Carboard Box but worse than the Macarena, why?
because essentially it's the same thing....

btw - you LIKE the macarena!

It's not the same thing at all. And I didn't write that I like Macarena, I only said that I thought it was better than the versions of the Haka that I am familiar with.
of course it's the same....it's a war dance...there's no difference between that and lads supporting haye givin it large.

The difference is the Haka is done by the people who are actually about to take part in the contest, because they have earned the right to. The chanting is done by people who lack the talent to compete and are trying to overcome their small man syndrome.

Surely it's not the same in that the haka is performed by participants, whereas the singing/chanting on this occasion is from spectators.

It was all too easy for Corrie, that was the problem. A capable boxer, golfer, rugby player and cricketer who chose not to focus enough time and effort into making himself great at any of them.
Exactly. Though have to confess I didn't know about the cricket. His main passion was golf wasn't it?

I must've completely misread the footage. :OhYes:

Wlad looked very tense to me, uncomfortably so in the staredown, while Haye looked super confident from top to bottom, not one audible frog in his throat when interviewed, held his stare with ease, had a swagger about him.

I'm not sure whether that's a good or bad sign. I've never really analysed any of Wlad's weigh-ins before this fight so I've no idea how to interpret his demeanour.

They both look to be in perfect nick and the size difference really didn't appear to be that big in Wlad's favour, this is going to be very interesting. I cannot fu*king wait for this one.
