Haye's physical appearance

Usually Haye looks frightening, but couldn't help to notice that his muscles looked flat and he generally looked quite smooth.

Against Ruiz he looked so powerful and strong, last night he looked weaker - and I'm talking before the bell if even rang, not wlad's shadow making me think this.

I was expecting him to be in insane, explosive shape and he just looked fairly pedestrian. Like a long distance runner rather than a sprinter (if that makes any sense at all).

I would have liked him to have come in a stone heavier, more like the weight he came in against John Ruiz at 16 stone.

Davids Body Looked dry. looked drained. Think This A Good Topic. The David Haye i know is full of zip and lightining speed and power. last nite Wlad Klitch was as quick. And Wlad before the fite was worried about Davids Speed and power. After 3 Rounds Wlad knew it was his Nite. Adios

I agree with you mate. I saw Haye sit down on his stool at the end of the first round and he did not look right.

Perhaps its because Wlad isn't as upright, but I thought Haye looked more of a natural heavyweight in this fight than he did against Harrison.

i think he peaked about 4 weeks too early...in all honesty he's looked 'flat'...mentally...to me since he came back from florida...

i think he looked in fantastic condition & he proved he could move for 12rds under constant pressure & stand up to a right hand.

he quoted he beat all previous training records in the run up & how everything fell into place perfectly.

what i want to know is how he broke it???he was allready in shape before it broke 3weeks ago so he's had healing time plus hes had a long old camp.

He had the choice of two tactics go in light for speed and or go in heavy for the extra strength. He picked the tactic i thought would work but hindsight is a marvelous thing. I think he needs to put that weight on a bit then try and fight like he did at cruiser weight if he wants to still try and acheive something more at heavy weight. Maybe not quote 16 st but in the middle somewhere.

Stop the counter punching / back foot boxing and use the punch power to back up his opponents then jump all over them.
