I couldnt exactly tell by your posts who exactly won.

If Haye put in 3 last good rds. might have got him or Todays best Hvywt is a Brit.

Thats good-as it will be a surprise to me. I hope it was a clean good fight with Vlad putting in a better effort than I seen from him before.
Either way- The Adamek vs Klits fight is more interest to me.

Either way-it sounds like this Haye / Klits fight was a great idea not having on PPV.
The camps know it would be a tough sell, and realize their products are not the best on the market.

Talk to you tommorrow night.

Oh well, at least Haye went the distance. If you must lose, make sure you lose on your feet.

Haye/Klitschko, Amateurs, they should have worn a headguard and vest those palooka's last night, Haye did a lot of feinting but you gotta land punches, shame they didn't glove up George Foreman and Lennox Lewis, at least we would have seen a fight..

On Vlad: He can't/doesn't counter-punch, bodypunch or infight. His repertoire is the very straight-up European jab, jab, right, which is accentuated by his height and reach which he does very well.

On Haye: He can't/doesn't jab, throw combinations or bodypunch. His entire fight plan appeared to be predicated on landing one "Hayemaker", which isn't much of a fight plan. If that was it, then we can start calling him David "Lucky Punch" Haye, because that is what it is if your simply hoping to catch someone with a wild left or right.

I must comment on Vlad's lack of counter-punching and counter-attack. This really drove me up the wall watching it last night (I waited for the replay last night rather than the early show so I could watch it with my Pops.) How many times I saw Haye miss a big wild right, which flung him across the ring and no followup from Vlad. Emanuel Steward needs to sit him down and have him watch the Jerry Quarry-Thad Spencer bout to see how you take advantage of an off balance opponent.

I am really interested in Tomasz Adamek right now. The dude has proven that a 212 pound fighter really can beat on these 250 pound fat arses. I blame the creation of the curuiserweight division for this turmoil. Since the creation of that weight class, it has made the heavies lazy and you will see that is when the division went blubber crazy. Come on Adamek, show me what a well-conditioned 212 pounder can do.

Klitschko vs Haye was on regular HBO yesterday. It's a good thing too because a lot of people might have wanted their money back.

Jeri and I were leaving the house, heading for Temecula to browse through their antique shops when I took one last look through the HBO channels. The fight was still minutes away fom starting and I wanted to stay and watch but I told Jeri we were going to Temecula so I turned off the TV and left. I figured I could always catch it on a replay.

Got home, watched a couple of rounds and changed the channel. So much for the great heavyweight fight we were all hoping for. I expected a lot more from Haye, much more. We knew what to expect from Klitschko. I do give Klitschko some credit. despite his limited skills he has managed to keep his title, he just can't keep our interest.

WBA Official Ruling

WBA Super Welterweight World Champion Austin Trout and his support team are relieved and yet admittedly still angry after receiving final word from WBA Executive Vice President Gilberto Mendoza, Jr. that the WBA has ratified Trout as champion and invalidates the result of a positive post-fight drug test taken in Mexico.
In early June, Trout successfully defended his title against David Lopez by unanimous decision only to be informed afterward that the results of a dubious drug test came back positive for marijuana.
According to Team Trout and promoter Greg Cohen, proper procedures and protocol were not followed. The urine samples they took were not sealed and Trout wasn't asked to sign any paperwork.
For licensed medical professionals doing proper post-fight drug testing, a "Chain of Custody" process is employed including sealing the sample and filling out necessary paperwork.
Smelling a rat, immediately after arriving home, Team Trout had two more urine samples properly tested at a facility approved by The New Mexico Boxing Commission and sent them to the WBA. Both samples came back clean.

They best keep Trout out of Mexico . He won twice below the border, why push his luck?
We know he's got a great trainer, hope his managment is as competent.
This whole thing has been one big fiasco. It's time for Trout's management to look stateside for the big fight. He might not win the next one in Mexico.

Their is a new Tepeyac (Home of the manuel's Special) that open up right off the 60 Fwy on Crossroad Parkway, a few minutes from my house. I thought about going in and defending my title and then realized a Manuel Special would probably KO me for good. Any thoughts of a comeback have been discarded.

I might stop in some time for a Hollenbeck burrito. A preliminary bout, yes, but wotta you gonna do?

Frank, I swiped a copy of the photo with you and Frank Aragon and used it on my site. Hope you don't mind. By the way, their was so much going on for me at the CBHOF that I forgot to take a picture of you and I. I bought a new camera and never really took any photos. Once my youngest daughter got hold of the camera I never got it back.

It's a foolish thought I know but it's sort of rambling around in my head. I mentioned it to my wife and she just shook her head. I wonder if Jeffrie's wife shook her head?

Randy, when I think of you finishing off 1 1/2 "Manuel Special's" it's beyond my comprehension.
To me, it's like Moore's 140 KO's, or El Gato's 35 consecutive Ko's.
That's a record to sit on and reflect back on comfortably. I dont know of anybody on this thread that can finish one alone.
Forget about it, you are already the Jack Dempsey of Burrito eaters in my book. Why damage your body and throw your progress into reverse. You looked good at the CBHOF event, one Manuel's Special could change all that.
I guess if somebody were to drop in and see us talking about a giant burrito they would think we are crazy.

Tommyrot! I saw this word used in an article to describe the Klitschko-Haye fight. I looked it up. It means utter foolishness, nonsense. It's British/English in origin. What a perfectly descriptive word, and so true in the case of last nights fight.Tommyrot, I love it!
