Personally i dont think wlad was stunned at all in this fight. Jim Watt bigged it up but i saw the big shots have zero effect. Just big shots thats all. Wlad held in the 12th after outboxing haye all night but was not hurtcharlieb wrote:The only Klitschko Haye will get to fight again will be Vitali.
Wlad's proven his point and he's already a very rich man, why take the chance that Haye's injury had a genuine impact and allow him to come at him again fully fit with a potentially improved gameplan?
Haye didn't take a beating in there, he landed the heavier punches, had Wlad momentarily stunned on one occassion and hurt on another. Wlad simply outworked him. A rematch wouldn't be a gimme, free money, if anything it would be a riskier proposition than the first encounter, with the added negative of getting little or no credit should he win a second time.
If Haye's silly enough to go chasing Vitali in an effort to restore his pride, then that's his call. As a fan, I'd rather he didn't.

Same can be said of Haye. He took 2-3 big shots and a lot of jabs but not once did he look in trouble.Spiker wrote:Personally i dont think wlad was stunned at all in this fight. Bad comparison. Lampard's goal changes the game massively. Haye not having a broken toe doesn't change things as much.mkirkhope wrote:Agree. It's like in the world cup where people could cling to Lampards 'goal' vs Germany as a reason for the loss rather than simply accepting the winner was far better on the day.Syntax Error wrote:This toe is giving David Haye a convenient get out clause.
For the life of me, I can't see what Haye can do differently to win.
It's a measure of how poor the division is that a newly vanquished & outclassed loser can get an immediate rematch, toe or not.
If a rematch was given for a match where the loser only won maybe 3 rounds and didn't seem to want to throw a punch then our sport would become more of a laughing stock than it already is.

Ha ha ha. Lampards goal had zero impact on England being pathetic in the World Cup. It's simply an excuse which is used to hide the fact that once again England were light years behind technically superior opponents.yiddo14 wrote:Bad comparison. Re: Sky report Klitschko has offered Haye a rematch?
Pathetic is being kind mate, they were worse than that throughought the tournament BUT in that particular game only a fool would say a goal being disallowed to make the game 2-2 had no bearing on the match. The game remained 2-1, England then seemed to chase it harder ( terrible tactics ) due to injustice etc and Germany, who were set up perfectly to hit teams on the counter ( see the Argentina game for another great example of their counter attack tactics ) simply picked England off at will. The 3rd and 4th goals were classic counter attacking football. Lampards goal had a big impact on that match. More than likely that England would have lost of course, and deservedly so, but had we got level, we may have calmed down a touch and try to keep it solid, reorganise and build slowly...Serbia did that in the group stage against Germany. Didn't do them too bad in that particular game.earsjohn wrote:Ha ha ha. Lampards goal had zero impact on England being pathetic in the World Cup. Don't get me wrong, I don't think he was hurt to the point where his limbs would fail him, but that punch hurt him enough to force him to cling onto Haye and tie him up for a good 10 seconds before finally forcing Haye to the ground under his weight.Spiker wrote:He hung on but fired back and he just didnt look hurt to me just tired tbhcharlieb wrote:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Oqk4fazNsoSpiker wrote: Personally i dont think wlad was stunned at all in this fight. He reacted smartly, but was definitely hurt.

His inside game is terrible, and he wings his shots when in close. Technically he is pretty poor, he's not compact or tight enough and his defence relies on his relfexes which aren't as good as he thinks.Grilling Machine wrote:Wlad is a bit gun-shy with his right, but you have to risk walking onto it to get past that jab. If Haye was willing to chance it next time, I watch a rematch. He'd need to roll in and unleash the left. Tyson was so effective with uppercuts and his left to the body because he scared people to the ropes. I can't see how Haye could put Wlad in a position to fire uppercuts at him. He'd definitely need to straighten his right hand. Even at the correct range for it he seems to throw the Eubank special.
Wlad looked quicker than Haye at times, and with his shots being much straighter they arrived before haye's ever time..
He threw punches much slower than Wlads - Haye practically wrote Wlad a letter before he threw his right and he was never looking at the target. Hit and Hope. He looked very clumsy indeed when he threw.
I'd give him no chance in a rematch, or against Vitali, who is a vicious bastard and obviously wants to knock Haye out for fun.
Re: Klitschko offers rematch - post fight presser video link
Wald Klitchsko will NEVER fight David Haye again, I think we all know that. Undoubtedly the victory over The Hayemaker has been Wlad's greatest single victory to date.
Wlad deserved to win the fight, but David haye is still the most dangerous Heavyweight out there for Wlad.
Why doesn't Wlad push himself and fight Haye in London, that would earn him some major testicle points, instead of just always fighting in Germany.
Let us be frank here, there are no exciting fights out there for Wlad, if he won't fight his brother, and his brother will dispose of Adamek and Wlad refuses to give Haye a rematch, who does that leave?
Myabe Valuev?
And if not him, just another boring win for him, probably against Arreola or Chambers or Povetkin.

Well based on the post-fight press conference it seemed Vlad was far more willing to have a rematch than Haye quite frankly.Crease wrote:Wald Klitchsko will NEVER fight David Haye again, I think we all know that.
Re: Klitschko offers rematch - post fight presser video link
Why should Wlad fight Haye again. Haye fought an absolute shit fight, stunk the joint out to be honest. He looked like a complete novice with his long lunging right hands. Haye proved what ive thought for a long time, he is no more than a top 10 heavyweight and is a class below both klitshko's. Let Haye beat guys like Povlikan, Arreola, Ademek, Peter etc then ask for a rematch.Crease wrote:Wald Klitchsko will NEVER fight David Haye again, I think we all know that. I think Haye is going to struggle at heavy, he hasnt beaten anyone decent at the weight, and im sure couldnt beat some of the other top 10 guys.

I saw in the Telegraph today that Vitali is interested in knocking David Haye because the Brothers K know that we Brits will always back our fighters and dip into our pockets for the £15 for the Pay Per View, buy the tickets at the venue and we will do the same regardless of which one of them goes into and attempt to knock Haye out.

Only problem is Haye will get a hell of a lot less of the Moula this time around and I don't think he would take the fight if it didn't make financial sense.Chambers2 wrote:Haye brings the Moula, so hopefully this will happen again

Out of interest who is going to be the next heavyweight you back, then I know to stay well clear? You put the Chambers' kiss of death on Audley Harrison's career and now you have jumped ship to Haye you've seen him off too! You're a jinx, mate.
Can't understand the hate towards Haye, just because he's been beat by the best HW in the division, who despite being the most boring fighter on the planet, is very effective. Hayes had an excellent career

No wonder ol' Wlad wants a rematch - it's another easy payday against David Haye, who'll be shouting and snarling in the build up, telling everyone this time his toe is much better, and he's really going to war this time. Then the 1st bell rings and he turns into Ghandi.

True that. I just can't see the Klits giving him anything decent percentage wise in negotiations for a rematch and I don't think Haye is the sort of person that would be willing to take whats on offer just to give him a shot at redemption.Chambers2 wrote:doctorboxing wrote:Only problem is Haye will get a hell of a lot less of the Moula this time around and I don't think he would take the fight if it didn't make financial sense.Chambers2 wrote:Haye brings the Moula, so hopefully this will happen again
