Hmmm, was going to have a bet on this early but if it's up in the air it's not really worth it. The 8/13 for Murray at the minute is like buying moneyPoncey wrote:As of yesterday, this fight isn't cancelled and was simply rescheduled.
However, there may be a future twist if rumours are to be believed about weight.

Maybe because of this recent thread: http://boxrec.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=139912mkirkhope wrote:What is the point of this thread? We knew it was in Liverpool on the 16th and there is already a big thread about this move further down the page.

Yeah, the stop-start career of "Irish Lighting" continues. Hopefully it can be rearranged on a later show. He really does need a keep busy fight to stay on his toes in the meantime.FeargalóCuinneagáin wrote:Dean Byrne's fight is cancelled :(

I think it's becoming obvious the fight isn't going to happen.
Maybe Mr Wazza was just trying to buy time by putting the fight back, to give him time to find a replacement acceptable to the punters ?
Just my take.
If the fight happens I'll eat my words.
Who'd be a Promotor eh ?

are you aware of the difference between the terms "postponed" and "cancelled"the truth wrote:slapbangwhallop wrote:Its moved to the Liverpool show.

Re: Mitchell - Murray NOT cancelled
Yes if it was postponed it would be taking place at a later date at ExCeL. If it was cancelled it wouldn't be taking place at ExCeL.slapbangwhallop wrote:are you aware of the difference between the terms "postponed" and "cancelled"the truth wrote:slapbangwhallop wrote:Its moved to the Liverpool show.

Re: Mitchell - Murray NOT cancelled
This is quite a serious point. There are a number of rumours flying about and there seems to be a considerable amount of doubt over whether Mitchell is able to fight. Yet, rather than pulling the fight completely, Warren has cancelled one show and moved the fight to another of his shows. The ticket sales from the original show will have to be refunded, but by moving the fight to Liverpool, it is guaranteed to result in an increased gate at the later show. When it is announced sometime next week that Mitchell is unable to fight, those who purchased tickets on the back of the new arrangements will be refused a refund as a show will go ahead, probably with Murray against a teak-tough African.twenty six wrote:I think it's becoming obvious the fight isn't going to happen.

Once again a despicable lack of transparency from Europe's greatest ever promoter. But what do I know? I'm simply an internet moron.

Not very many of them from what I gather. By moving the card, allegedly minimises the risk, which is fair play.earsjohn wrote:The ticket sales from the original show will have to be refunded
I hope Mitchell's fit and ready, but something tells me he wont be.

Did Warren sons not promote the North v South card?Dan Dares wrote:Not very many of them from what I gather. By moving the card, allegedly minimises the risk, which is fair play.earsjohn wrote:The ticket sales from the original show will have to be refunded

Re: Mitchell - Murray NOT cancelled
shocking when you think FW was ranting about lack of TV dates this season, and he has left this go by and one earlier this year basically got given to VIP?
a lot of his fighters are simply inactive

i think an 80% mitchell will be good enough to beat a 100% murray. watch and see
