Probably more like no one wanted to make a mistake. Jesse won the last one so I'd think the pressure was on Daquan.PHILLYSTEVE wrote:"Hart-Arnett" was there too much respect for each other in that fight, is that why the fight was boring?
Re: national golden gloves
Just to clear up something that I believe and most people believe ... 4-1 decisions are close. And I know sometimes 5-0 decisions can be just as close at 3-2 decisions, sometimes even closer. Just like at the USA Nationals, some fights that end up 15-5 are still pretty close. With that being said, 4-1 decisions are typically very close fights.
And that's great Dennis that those two are able to spar. They are both elite boxers and the 201 division is very tough now because of those two, Geffrard and Hunter. With Donovan Dennis moving up to 201+ that will be nice to see him and Cam battle for the Olympic Spot.
Since Louie Byrd is going back down to 108, Stephon Young will probably be able to attend the Olympic Trials at 114. We still have 5 spots up for grabs and with less than 10 weeks left and with the two tournaments coming up these fights are a can't miss! Good luck to the boxers gearing up for the USA's and Last Chance Qualifiers.
