This refers to British trainers only. Which trainer has proved to be the best asset to his fighter over the years? Difficult to assess but taking everything into account, which of the following British world champions benefit most from his trainer? Note that this poll is not asking who had the biggest wins as trainers or who is the best fighter. This relates purely to the role of the trainer in terms of style, tactics, corner, psychology etc. to the point where it is hard to make a case for another trainer to have done a better job. The candidates are:
Enzo Calzaghe for Joe Calzaghe
Billy Graham for Ricky Hatton
Adam Booth for David Haye
Brendan Ingle for Junior Witter
Robert McCracken for Carl Froch
Which trainer has made the most positive impact?
Re: Which trainer has made the most positive impact?
This is an impossible question to answer in my opinion.
Could make a case for all of them with the exception of Brendan Ingle for Junior Witter i think.
Possibly Brendan Ingle for Naseem Hamed would be a contender, would have been a definate winner aswell in my opinion if Naz had continued to show him respect and not get carried away with himself.
