Murray Mitchell is not on this sat so in my book it's cancelled
If it's on next week so what ? It's still cancelled from this week , turkey brain
If a bus doesn't come it's cancelled, if another comes in it's place two hours later does that mean the bus wasn't cancelled? Go back to school or something please...
Is no one going to step in an explain to this remedial student the difference or do I have to step in again????

The thing is you didnt say "cancelled from this week" did you? Not that that would be proper English.

Postpone - verb (used with object), -poned, -pon·ing. 1. to put off to a later time; defer: He has postponed his departure until tomorrow.

Cancel - verb, -celed, -cel·ing or ( especially British ) -celled, -cel·ling, noun
–verb (used with object)
1. to make void; revoke; annul: to cancel a reservation.
2. to decide or announce that a planned event will not take place; call off: to cancel a meeting.

Now the North v South bill was CANCELLED, the Mitchell v Murray fight was POSTPONED.

There is a reason that when which mod merged that thread they left the heading I used - "NOT cancelled" because it aint, its postponed.

Slap who cares about such trivial things, go back to Arnies gym and do another interview "Boxing Ireland", You know nothing about boxing whatsoever.

Interesting - but what exactly is an 80 per cent Mitchell? I certainly think Mitchell has the boxing brain to handle Murray, but will he will have the fitness, and the fire?

Well it's all speculation and I don't think we'll ever know the answer because the chance of this fight happening is remote.
Just my take - ready to eat my words if it comes off.

Look who it isnt! Well if it aint "Boxen" off ESB fame AKA Jdaniels/iron_chin/jerome12 and other aliases all got banned after mods did an IP sweep following all the personal abuse you were throwing and the discussions you were having with yourself about Al Harbi!

it doesn't look good for mitchell. his career seems to be unraveling.

hope murray doesn't get effed about any more than he has been already. he doesn't need to be wasting his career fighting the quazgharis of the world between big fights that keep getting shelved. mitchell isn't that big a name to keep on waiting for a fight with him, if it gets put off again.

hope the fight happens and that murray grinds him down - like johanesson almost did.

im sure mitchell will be 100%, but what i mean is all the rumors like weight making, viruses, problems with police and problems with girlfriends all add up, so fighting next saturday might mean mitchells not in the best place at the moment but for me he wins this either way, murray hasent showed enough class so far in my eyes and mitchell will prove murrays level is below his !

Saturdays card has been cancelled. Until confirmation that the fight has been axed, Murray v Mitchell has merely been postponed.

I hear what you are both saying. Mitchell has more to his boxing than Murray, but that will count for nothing if he isn't 100% fit, phisically and mentally. The longer the fight goes on the better for Murray. If both guys where 100% I think Mitchell would get the win but who knows what level Mitchell is at the now.

if Mitchell was 100% i'd still see it as kinda 50/50, but with all that's been going on with Mitchell over the last 18 months I just can't see him as being 100% what with legal issues weight issues and alleged lack of enthusiasm for training....

If Mitchell pulls out or is struggling this time,it"s not going to do the Tibbs"s reputation a lot of good. They were at great pains to blame Mitchell in retrospect (deservedly) for the shambolic lead up to the Katsidis fight,so speak up now or forever hold your peace regarding this one.

so if mitchell wins will you agree that a 99% or less mitchell is good enough to beat murray ? or will you say he must of been 100%. frankie gavin won every round against mutley at a weight above his normal weight when he was only probably at only 70% fitness ! murrays better then mutley and gavins better then mitchell, but i still believe mitchell will walk this fight 100% or not ! if he doesnt its time to retire.

PS.....Most of this thread reads like a script set in the Rovers Return on Coronation Street!
lots of inane chatter, speculation and plenty of banal mud slinging thrown in for good measure. Some of you guys would give the blue rinse brigade a good run for their money :shame:
