Wonder how amazing Duran wouldve looked against Mosleys competition at LW.
Mosley was an excellent 135lber, but he doesnt rank with the elites for a reason. He was in no way, shape or form equipped by his LW rivals to deal with Duran. Defense, and the gulf between these men in that regard, would be the fatal difference.

Mosely would need to be on his best night and Duran on one of his worst.
It would be superb fight and a joy to watch, but prime vs prime, Duran wins 19 out of 20.

you dont think the power boxing style of Mosley would give duran any problems?Goodnight, Irene wrote:Wonder how amazing Duran wouldve looked against Mosleys competition at LW.

Well considering Mosley was entering his Lightweight fights in the low-150s he would probably give an outright sub-140 lbs. Duran some issues, but I'd say Duran's better infighting ability would pile him a lot of points against the very open Mosley and he's walk away with a pretty close decision.

dont get me wrong, I'd definatly favor duran, and like goodnight said Mosleys lack of defence could be fatal, but i can see the speed and power of shane really causing duran major problems, if not giving him the edgeDiamond WEAPON wrote:Well considering Mosley was entering his Lightweight fights in the low-150s he would probably give an outright sub-140 lbs. Not as much as the weight differemtial. Mosley wont last the distance with his defense, though. Not with a guy who hurt Ray Leonard more than MW king Marvin Hagler ever could.thunderfromdownunder wrote:you dont think the power boxing style of Mosley would give duran any problems?Goodnight, Irene wrote:Wonder how amazing Duran wouldve looked against Mosleys competition at LW.

If we're talking about the Leonard fights...... Duran might have quit against Mosley as well.Goodnight, Irene wrote:Not as much as the weight differemtial. A lot of that was from Duran's often underrated speed as well. He was as quick to the punch with hard, leveraged combinations as anyone on the inside.Goodnight, Irene wrote:Not as much as the weight differemtial.
