I know I don't, and I have watched Holyfield since his Olympic bronze and your poll seems to suggest that a lot of people don't either.

Insisting your right, rather than expressing an opinion, doesn't actually mean you are right.
I BELIEVE HE HAS THE BEST SKILL SET.

19 people say he is and 6 maybe, so lets sllit the difference and call it 22 each.

22 say he is not.

I did not say I was right, but someone said Joe 'slow flat feet' Louis - Foreman was also mentioned and Foreman was not very skilled.

Joe was slower, however just think about one thing, in order for him to deliver his punches, his feet needed to be in the right place. His accuracy, power and timing was unmatched. Even today.

Slower feet than Holyfield, sure no argument there, but he beats Holyfield in pretty much every other aspect, in my opinion.

Schmeling showed what can be done to a fighter with slow feet.

Joe's feet weren't much faster in the return, mate.

Where as Holyfield split 3 fights with Bowe, losing 2 and one getting stopped. Holy's feet didn't help there, either :TU:

Holy 14st 9 in the 1st Bowe fight. 2nd fight he won. 3rd had flu and got stopped after puttong Bowe on the floor.

BOWE meant business back then, not shame at all.

Bowe would have stopped Louis early. Way too big.

Anear 18st biog man with a serious jab and great onfighting and very good power beating a much smaller man is not silly. Louis was a great fighter but the BOTM has clouded your mind. If Schmeling knocked him out..Bowe could also!

If Bowe struggled with Biggs and Tubbs and Holyfield and Golota, so you really think he would beat one of the two best heavyweights of all time.

ALI knocked down by Cooper.Holyfield struggled with Cooper. Louis kncked out by Schmeling.
Off nights, the best of Bowe beats the best of Joe Louis.

Ali did not do too well with Norton either.

In terms of pure skill, Floyd Patterson deserves a mention.

Floyd's chin did let him down & tarnishes his legacy, but his boxing skill was superb.

He was a very decent fighter, but the better bigger men dealt with him fairly easily.

:TU:

I personally agree. In his Prime, (which was very short), Bowe had great skills. Look at the pace he set in the first fight with Holyfield, and the range of shots.

Bowe had a great uppercut for a big man, he was a great inside fighter, had a wicked jab, and a booming right cross.

Louis liked to work in close, and Bowes jab, size and power punching would have been murders for Louis, who could be hit and hurt. Id have picked Bowe to just overpower Louis.

Bowe was no Primo Carnera, he was a well schooled and very talented fighter.

Joe was very slow at everything he did.

What did you think about his hook off the jab?
Or his footwork?
Or double jab
or...ffs sake I could go on all night,.

Bum of the month baby..bum of the month.
He never fought a Bowe, Tyson etc..get real.
