I have read all the if's and but's (and toe's )about why David Haye didn't win the fight last week, and still 7 days later this is still big news in the national press.
why all the Trash Talk.
David Haye Told the WHOLE WORLD what he was first going to do to vlad, then once he had given him a good beating he was going to set about his big bad brother who in my opinion is the better fighter.
I think that some boxers need to concentrate more on fight preparation than all the big hype and talking.
I recently traveled to Mexico to watch Rhodes vs Alverez, Rhodes got stopped in the twelth by a very classy guy who i think will one day be pound for pound king remember hes only 20 WOW.
After getting stopped in the 12 round Rhodes was gutted that he had not only lost but the way he did.
There was a press conference called after and Rhodes showed what a true gent and what respect he has not only for his opponents but the sport of boxing by saying "he was beat by a better guy and he had no excuses that at the end of the day Alverez was just a class above him".
The whole Mexican media stood up and applauded Rhodes for the words he had said as many other fighters would have made so many excuses up and believe me there where plenty that Rhodes could have said but why make your self look a fool at the end of the day some times you have to stand up and be a man and cut the TRASH TALK!!!!!!!!!!!


If only all the boxers had the same mind set as Rhodes the sport may be in a better state.

In fairness to Haye, part of the trash talk was tactical. In order to get under Wlad's skin, make Wlad get angry and get emotionally involved in the fight to try and lure Wlad into making a mistake which Haye could try to capitalise on.

Yes, it's all bullshit, but there was method in Haye's madness.
