Tszyu was broken by Hatton. Hatton finished Tszyu that night. No he was shot about it. This always happen's. One of our stars great performances is always tainted by the fact that the UK public make theories that the other guy wasnt good enough or something. If Haye had beat Klitshko. It would have been "it was obvious Klitshko would get beat when he fought a live opponent". How about giving them some credit.
In terms of Hatton he fought a great run of opponents from Tszyu onwards. All world champions past or present with 2 modern greats. That takes guts.
Lacking from his resume is a genuine fight of the year. With his Style he should have been a dead cert for a fight of the year. He didn't hold the WBO or WBC titles either which he could have easily managed. Names that would have been nice on his list and could easily have been made include:
Diego Corrales, Eirik Morales, Juan Manuel Marquez, Shea Neary, Marco Antonio Barrera, Mickey Ward, Arturo Gatti, a light welter Miguel Cotto, Zab Judah, Sharmba Mitchell and Junior Witter. These Names on his record would have been absolutely stunning. And im sure he these would have been more viable than some Ray Oliveira's and Michael Stewarts. But Criticism of Warren's match making aside, Hattion was a brilliant fighter.
I truly believe the night he beat Kostya Tszyu he would have beat anyone in and around that weight class. He was superhuman that day

full credit for nuthugging, but hatton plied his trade below the top level for most of his career for good reason. we all saw what happened when he tried to mix it at the top. mayweather and pacquiao showed the gulf in class. hell, he was even too scared to get in with junior witter!!!!

Just like many others i had the pleasure of attending a number of hatton fights and still miss the atmosphere.

I think Micky Ward was. It's a shame that Hatton and Ward never fought each other.

So was I. Honestly, I think Ward may have won in an upset, but Hatton had a lot more title defenses as the WBU champion.
