Frankie Gavin weight issues ????

Post by wesley05 »

Just read the post that Curtis wrote about the weight being changed, is this fair ? I mean if Curtis can make the weight with 10 weeks notice why can't Gavin, this really needs addressing to the sport. This is not the first time for Gavin not making weight (olympics) really hope Curtis pulls this off not only for the piss take but what a story it would be if he beat "the next big thing" :TU:

If it is a weight issue then he wil be in trouble, he is caught between weight classes - thats never good.

Does this require a new thread? You are already discussing the issue in the other thread!

Here is my headline of BI next Sunday.

My opinion is that all fighters should be within a few pounds of one another on fightnight with the exception of heavyweight obviously.
It makes no odds how long it takes to get to the weight but i think its wrong when someone fights a naturally bigger opponent but hey thats boxing!

Oh the Guinness one, thats funny! Well it was marginally funny in 1990 my less than sharp friend. Yawwwwwnnnn!!!

Actually Curtis does qualify for an Irish title and has more Irish blood in him than British champions Shinny Baayar, Ajose Olusegun, Derek Chisora, Peter Oboh, Ian Napa, Howard Eastman or dare I say Michael Gomez! Shall I go on funny jokesman!?

Nowt as rich as a bit of blindingly obvious hypocrisy. Just give them lads a piece of paper and they are ours!!!

Too much arrogance for me he needs a big loss for him to appreciate the money he,s made already. For me he's made too much too quick, theres been boxers goin for years who has not earnt the money that he's made but that's down to stupid promoters chuckin silly money about to say they have the next big star, which I can not see in mr Gavin because of his life style he lives exsample ( mac dees, kfc, burger king, pizza hut, nandos, frankie&bennies,Harry ramsdons,)the list goes on he should appreciate where he is in this game :shame:

Getting into a war on the net is not my thing mate. You reeled off a list of takeaways you say FG eats from. Was you exaggerating then? Some boxers have weight issues, not the first, won't be the last.

A lot of people postinng onn ere don't seem. To like frankie but he is a good lad,he's confident has great ability and is making a good pro and all the pre fight digs have added spice to the fight,I respect Curtis for taking such a difficult fight and hoppefully it will be a great fight, but my opinion is that franki has too much class and if curtis tries to box him he could b in trouble, really lookin forward to this fight
