'Murray will be smashed to bits' says confident Kev
It seems things have gone well for Mitchell in this camp. Could turn out to be a very good fight and can't see why now it won't happen as previously I felt if it was going to be cancelled it would be Mitchell pulling out, although it doesn't seem here as though it's on the cards.

yeh that has made me a lot more confident it will go ahead
Ahhhhh really looking forward to that line up now.....GREAT night of boxing!

Aye, I'm sure you'll be able to find him chatting some similarly positive stuff before his loss to Katsidis.
If he was 100% I think he'd outbox Murray for a decent spell, though Murray seems to find a way to win, eventually.
Seeing is believing and all that though...

I'm sure a boxer would only say this sort of thing if they knew they were going to win...
I'm off down the bookies.

Re: 'Murray will be smashed to bits' says confident Kev
so mitchell's going to go through with the fight, then?
Re: 'Murray will be smashed to bits' says confident Kev
What gives me more faith here is that he has an alibi, being the writer whom was present in both training camps.Ian 'Mr' McNeilly wrote:Aye, I'm sure you'll be able to find him chatting some similarly positive stuff before his loss to Katsidis.

I think Murray will smash Mitchell myself. Mitchell was confident last time out and he got battered and Murray is a similar fighter to Katsidis. Hope it is a good fight though.

you misunderstand me i think matey,
i think Murray will win, in fact i want him to win, i just meant that it has made me more hopeful it will actually go ahead as opposed to what i thought a day ago, which was i thought that it wouldn't.
Couldn't care less if he's talking crap or waffling to be honest...i just want him to turn up!
Re: 'Murray will be smashed to bits' says confident Kev
Murray all the way. The closer we get to the fight the more confident i get. I was unsure when it was first announced but i just think Murray will be too good

Yes, I had/have my doubts about this ever going ahead...

I'm not having a dig – I've seen Kevin this camp and think he looks in a far better place mentally. Just, if the guy works there he has superb access to Mitchell but is also a slightly unreliable witness.
Re: 'Murray will be smashed to bits' says confident Kev
Precisely. You don't know his motive. It's likely for one that he wants in on future camps. If he says Mitchell has been slacking, that probably wont happen.dbflex wrote:I'm not having a dig – I've seen Kevin this camp and think he looks in a far better place mentally. Not many fights where you see opinions so split down the middle, which is always a good thing.

This is how I see it.The Dark Destroyer wrote:I think Mitchell will do well early on, but Murray will wear him down and stop him around the 9th/10th round in my opinion.

Yeah that's what I thought when I read it, he's obviously a favoured writer with the Mitchell camp, and was probably saying the same thing before the Katsidis fight ( don't remember anyone saying he looked crap in training ) so....wishful thinking ?Scottrf wrote:Precisely. Still, before Katsidis, Mitchell wasn't looking at what might be his last chance, and here, he is.

aye, he was looking at by far his biggest chance to date, though, and you have to worry about a fighter who can't get 'up' for the preparation in that scenario.MightyWarrior wrote:

Think it was more personal issues than a motivation problemCounter-puncher wrote:aye, he was looking at by far his biggest chance to date, though, and you have to worry about a fighter who can't get 'up' for the preparation in that scenario.MightyWarrior wrote:
