Would be great if they gave Jamie Moore a chance. He always sounded very good in interviews.
I also think that Carl Froch would be superb. He done a bit previously - and to be honest - I can`t think of another British boxing pundit/commentator who sounded as good.
Hmm, can't see a current Sky fighter who fights out of the stable run by a significant Sky promotional partner across a range of sports, Matchroom, turning up as a pundit on a rival network to commentate on a fight featuring a fighter who has been openly critical of the stance Sky have taken in refusing to fatten his wallet. I may be wrong though.

Similarly with Jamie Moore, I think he is establishing himself as a regular guest on Sky so I doubt he'd want to risk that by sitting in a studio to discuss the action coming through a grainy (non HD) feed talking to the 4 men and a dog foolish enough to stump up £15 for this fight.

yes .. it was merely wishful thinking .. after all, they do already have their team anyways..

People are missing a very obvious point here, which is that the likes of Jamie and Carl Froch work with Sky so are not available to Primetime. Sky like to hold onto their assets, whether they are under contract or not. I'm led to believe that John Rawling was interested in the C5 commentary gig, but was gently dissuaded from pursuing it by Sky. Those Isleworth boys pay good money and they expect loyalty.

A couple of things...first, Al Bernstein for C5. Second, SKY don't pay as much as people think, but they are ruthless and there is no way that any of their talent will be able to casually do C5. They were savage when Primetime did Khan v McCloskey and, I've got to be honest, I can see why they don't want ANY of the men they used popping up elsewhere.

Adios.

Using the integrated PPV cast then..... hope its not going to be a fuzzy stream.

Steve, out of curiosity - do you know if Piper is still involved with Sky, he hasn't been on for a while. Give me Piper over McKenzie anyday of the week.

Apart from the really dodgy graphics, I thought the Primetime commentary team did an excellent job, particularly Rosenthal and the sceptic. It surprised me when Rosenthal came on - I had to check I was on the right channel.

I'm not too sure if Richard Desmond's into boxing, but i'm hoping this Channel 5 five deal isn't a one-off and we get some more good fights on free to air soon.

Would have liked to have seen Andy Kerr involved as well Buncey. Neither and I'm not tuning in.

I'd rather the boxers be good rather than worrying about the talking heads. Khan v Judah is well worth the money.

They do make a good team which works, i remember the Kerr, Bunce, Barry studio team being very good.
Kerr being embarrassed as Buncey goes off on a rant? It was entertaining I'll grant you.

Yeh, Duke makes too many mistakes - one fight last weekend he kept going on about how this was an 8 round fight (it was 10)
