In late 1945,Joe Louis lent his name to a Chicago Company(All-American Soft Drinks),
and they developed and marketed a carbonated grape soft drink
called"Joe Louis Punch",
Check out this link to an advertisement for it from 1947.
I wonder how much one of those empty bottles is worth nowadays?

Awesome. Makes me wonder how many bottles of that stuff Marciano chugged growing up.
Re: Joe Louis Punch,(Grape soft drink)
The drink was heavily advertised in 1947(reportedly Cab Calloway and Duke Ellington were hired in 1946 to write a radio jingle for it).
Check out this other vintage ad from 1948 and see what you could have won if you had saved enough bottle tops!
(gotta scroll up a little there)

Funny idea, though the answer is none. Marciano was in his twenties when this stuff appeared.Diamond WEAPON wrote:Awesome. Makes me wonder how many bottles of that stuff Marciano chugged growing up.

I am the only one who though "Old School Purple Drank"?
Re: Joe Louis Punch,(Grape soft drink)
Joe Louis Punch was only on the market for about five years(if that long)beginning in 1946,before it went out of buisness.
Part of the reason may have been that Joe Louis(who was also an investor in it)was too busy doing other things to
help promote the sales more after the initial heavy advertising for it in 1947-1948.
along with grape, other flavors were developed like strawberry, raspberry.,orange,lime,ginger-ale and sparkling water.
As a promotional stunt he reportedly sent Billy Conn and Tami Mauriello some bottles in September 1946.
