Boxing on Youtube LIVE
Don't know if you are aware but Youtube is now doing live broadcasts. http://www.youtube.com/live
They will be doing their first free live boxing event on Saturday night in partnership with Hatton Promotions - It's the Purdy - Watson rematch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R8u6ALlY9k8 Starts at 7pm on the Live link above.
Interesting stuff.

I watched the European Amateur Championship on Youtube Live. Not a bad idea and seemed to work well.

Re: Boxing on Youtube LIVE
Youtube, as broadcaster, has the biggest potential reach there is. Regular live shows on the channel can be viewed worldwide so it carries non of the geographical restrictions that comes with traditional networks.
This could be massive as more people connect their laptops to their tvs and watch like they would any other channel. Ultimately, internet TV will replace normal tv as future sets will come with built in internet connections.

Great coup for Hatton Promotions... the first live stream in the UK using Youtube.... a bit of history... fantastic stream.
Anyone will know if this will be available after the live broadcast?

Re: Boxing on Youtube LIVE
Damian is probably enquiring because he might open to doing it for his shows. A webcam would not be good enough, imo.Adamj1987 wrote:theres other sites that allow you to do free streaming i dont know about youtube but some sites like ustream just require a webcamdamianhucker1 wrote:is it really as simple as that ?Adamj1987 wrote: you need an internet connection a decent Digital Recorder and a laptop

i would think a HD Camcorder would be the best and cheepest way without buying an industrial on the should TV cam
Re: Boxing on Youtube LIVE
Yep, and camcorders are quite cheap now. I think it's worth trying out.Adamj1987 wrote:no it wont i was just giving an example how simplistic it can be.
