Mitchell - sounded well up for it

Post by nelsoninfour »

If Ringside was anything to go by I would have to say Mitchell seemed to be the most relaxed and up for it.
I like Murray style but who of any real class has he fought????
Mitchell on the back foot was top drawer against Prescott.
I know Mitchell had reported problems in his family but as he says this probably will be his last chance to get a world title shot.

I honestly think Mitchell is going to win this, I really do. It is going to be a nip and tuck fight but I fancy Mitchell to box at range and I think the right uppercut might be a big punch for Mitchell when Murray comes forward. What do I know Murray will probs win every round hahahah

Murray is all rough and tumblke and gets hit too easily. I think Mitchell can stop him on facial injuries.

comletely disagree , i think mitchll looked very nervous on ringside , very stiff , and not sure of his words , whereas i felt murray looked very relaxed .

I agree with whoever it was on here who said potentially mitchell could suffer another Katsidis type destructions , all depends on how his fram of mind is now .

Totally disagree, for me Mitchell is the better boxer and I'd fancy him to win but the reason I don't is because Murray looks so much more relaxed and confident than him. I still expect a great fight and hope the best Mitchell turns up. Just think Murray is alot more comfortable in himself at this stage of their careers.

I think Murray looked the more nervous and on edge, lol 'Katsidis type destruction' Murray isn't exactly another Katsidis. Murray knows one way which is to walk forward, look what happened to Prescott who only knew that way....

I wouldn't go by who looks nervous. At the weigh in John Murray was copying Mitchell's movements, so does that mean Mitchell is his daddy? :P

Mitchell does look well up for it, either he's in the shape of his life or he's masking the fact he's not prepared properly with bravado.

i really think its impossible to tell. ive seen it a million times where the fighter says training went well, im in the best shape of my life, its win or bust etc...only for it to come out after the fight that it was all total bollocks. mitchell has been touted as top class for years, but he never seemed to go anywhere. i can only think that he doesnt have the mental discipline necessary to get to the top. he has the talent im sure but when it comes down to it that is never enough.
we hear less about murrays personal life , family situation etc, but he comes over as being more dedicated and less distracted.
If mitchell really is focused for this one i would make him favourite, but i m not convinced hes chucked all his bad habits. as far as" sounding up for it "goes, mitchell would fight mike tyson at the drop of a hat , but that doesnt mean he would win.

Only seen a couple of photos of him today and he looked pretty drained, definitely fancy the murray stoppage

I thought Mitchell looked deathly at the weigh-in, pale as a ghost and tired.

Na I've seen far worst looking fighters at weigh-ins. He looked pretty healthy to me. I thought Murray looked "tighter" at the weight but to be honest I don't think that will have much bearing on the fight. Many a fighter looks at death's door at the weigh-in only to look like a monster in the ring. Scott Harrison always springs to mind.

I agree Andy. I don't think Mitchell looked at Murray once throughout that interview either.

He sounded well up for the Katsidis fight and look what happened.

I don't think this one is close, it might look that way early on because of Murray's style but I have him stopping Mitchell somewhere around the 9th.
