I was thinking the shame: I agree short-term on-the-night costs may be a slight loss (although I have no idea of figures) but I think the long-term gain will be well worth it and overall they should do well from doing shows like these: I mean, in effect it's like terrestrial TV and open to everyone..... and that can only be a good thing.

They had a number of cameras at ringside, 2 on commentary, one fronting (not sure if they were also ringside). Where does the money come from if Sky are not paying?

[Wake up call]

Long term it will be possible to draw a revenue from Youtube as you can obtain revenue share on adverts on the site. As Youtube Live grows, more advertisers will come on board and the revenue will rise.

I was talking to Robert Waterman the other day (SecondsOut are Hatton Promotions' YouTube partner) and he and Ray Hatton are very excited about the idea of using the platform to do global broadcasts.
