Question for Howard - I thought that having worked hard to get your weight down that you wouldn't be fighting heavyweights any more ?

Are the only opportunities for "heavyweight opponent" and not really for "Cruiserweight wanting to give it a go"?

To be fair on Howard hes got his weight down and was just over cruiser last night. But if he cant get any fights at cruiser and a 4x2 comes up at heavy on tv hes still got to pay his bills.
The only thing is taking these fights hes gambling with his licence as the board will be looking at him against heavy weights.

I would disagree with you there mate - he is gambling with his health.

If he can't get fights at cruiser then the only fights he will get at heavy are those that he is not expected to win.

According to the stats he weighed in at just over the cruiser limit for this fight and gave away 42 pounds !

I enjoyed the recent rivalry with Lee Kellett and both lads put on a good fight by all accounts - but that was 2 lads at the same weight - not giving 3 stone away.

Ps - my comments are not meant as a dig at Daley. He comes across as a decent bloke, and after all he has been through with losing weight etc. I would just like to see him get half a break and not be "used" by promoters who know that he will be game and put up a good show without actually beating their "prospect".

Yes your right fighting bigger guys is gambling with your health as well. My point was that Howard has actualy made the cruiser limit he was aiming for just the poor bloke is still getting offered more heavy work thtn cruiser
