Frankie's performance wasn't the best but I think if he knuckled down he would be decent at light welter.

As I said before and will say again Brook would beat him with the speed and power anytime, I think they will always be a weight away from each other when they are both at there best.

I did and I understand that I could well be in the minority here but I'm not going to hand out harsh judgements based on a couple of low-par performances.

Gavin, in my opinion, is the most talented fighter in Britain at the moment but I think his main issue of concern is that he suffers from a severe lack of motivation.

Brook may well hold advantages in power and experience but the Birmingham man possesses a much astute boxing brain and that will be Kell's undoing.

Disagree but then i am biased. But i would say that altough Kell might not be an Oxford Don academically, he does have an excellent, instinctive boxing intelligence and - perhaps unlike Gavin - a nasty spitefulness and a thirst for mixing it.

I agree with the poster above that these two will always be a weight division apart but if they ever did meet, Kell would walk straight through him, in my opinion.

frankie gavin may be a very special talent, but hes a long way from proving it in the pro ranks. to get anywhere near the top you need much more than just talent. for a start you need to be fit and in shape and be mentally disciplined. you only need to look at what happened to mike tyson when he lost his drive to see that any boxer , however special, is a shadow of what he can be with the correct approach.
whatever people say about mayweather and how good he is, you can guarantee that if he wasnt in exceptional shape for every fight, he wouldnt be unbeaten or as highly rated as he is today. If gavin is to make something of his talent he needs to change his mentality or he would be as well packing it in. From what ive seen of his pro fights brook would smash him to bits at present.
most young pros with ten fights experience are only picking up a couple of grand (if that) so until he proves hes prepared to put in the necessary work to become a top pro, why should he be getting more? Im sure there are plenty of young and driven up and comers who would jump at the chance to retire jason cook and put that scalp on their record. If gavin had curtis woodhouses mentality it could all have been so much better.
