Interesting news on murray!

Post by eubank1 »

Heard off someone very close to John Murray before that when he was in Germany for a week with Macklin he done nothing but get pissed and even had a fight with his trainer joe gallagher who was also getting pissed with them. now you can say bullshit but this is fact ive known John for a long time and he does not have proper training camps and was for a fact out getting pissed nearly every day leading up to his beating off mitchell so it was no suprise to me when i saw him lose the way he did!

Not doubting you but he always seemed a lot more focused than that to me. Brink of a world title pissing it up sounds far fetched to me.

I personally dont see how anyone was scoring that as a close fight, mitchell took murray apart in fact i would go as far as say it was a master class. The sky team had murray ahead upto the half way mark and lots of people think it was about even. But WHY?

all the clean, classy, hurtfull work was coming from mitchell, murray was just walking straight at him getting hammered. When murray closed the distance he sat ontop of mitchell and threw loads of messy shots which werent really scoring or landing cleanly. I hardly gave the guy a round.

Murray was definitely landing, and hurting Mitchell too. Check out Mitchell's face after the fight, not as bad as Murray, but I'm sure he'd admit that was a war up to the finish.

Can't imagine Murray was out on the lash before the fight. That would be like he'd seen how Kev prepared for his first loss, and decided to to exactly the same.

Up to the last 3 rounds or so, I thought Murray looked the likely winner: Kev was landing clean, and no reaction from JM at all. Bookies seemed to see it that way, as don't think odds swung Kev's way until near the finish.

Fight of the year so far ? Got to be up there.

He is was in a nightclub straight after the fight on Saturday night.

A friend was chatting to them all.

But this was AFTER a fight and who'd deny him a shandy after what he went through.

This is a matter of fact and not some sad bullshit, its not my style. I just get annoyed when boxers dont realise their potential and piss it away!

I have also heard this to be true, when someone stated the fight wouldn't happen I wanted to know which camp they thought had gone badly but they thought Mitchell wouldn't turn up, whereas I'd hear the Murray prep was not what it should be. Apparently Murray and Gallagher squared up to each other and had to be pulled apart as Murray was pissed out of his head continually in Germany - not the best prep for the biggest fight of your life. Having said that I think he'd have struggled anyway with his lack of head movement.

murray never needed to take the fight :!: if he's struggling with pressure & boozing why would he take it :!:

he's never been scared & taken the hard route & no way would gallgher suffer that & continually praise john :!:

this seem's like a lie buy mancunians to excuse the defeat :!: i can think of better reason's. why would he become a scott harrison at this stage when he's grafted his ar$e off :!: i didnt like seeing him get beat like that, but the stronger fighter won, he died after 5 rds.

i can imagine john slumping at the table with lines of tequilas lined up infront of him, getting defeated by gallagher who would be sinking his 49th shot & saying to john record's are for dj's with his lip curled :DD i mean how else does he get a fighter's respect.

this websites ridiculous. every other post is some1 with "insider information".

Go on the piss for a week and then try and run 3 miles, see how you do.

Theres no way Murray could have fought at that pace or with that success if he'd been on the piss.

like I said I think he would have lost anyway, I heard this the week before the fight from a source very close to him. I can't verify whether it is true or not as just heresay.

i think it's waffle. ive followed murrays career & what he's been through with inactivity & his previous promoter unable to get him to defend his title! fw sports was a god send for him & have allowed him to showcase & get him work & oppurtunity's. he has shown great patience which many would of fell off the wagon & he never.
