HE says he's the future of heavyweight boxing in Britain and on Wednesday Tyson Fury will be a panelists on The Wright Stuff and telling Mathew Wright why everyone in Britain should be watching Channel 5 at 10pm on Saturday night (23rd July) when he clashes with British and Commonwealth heavyweight champion Dereck Chisora.

Unbeaten heavyweight Fury says he has the charisma and class to take over from David Haye as Britain's premier heavyweight. Born in Manchester he met his uncle by chance in Northern Ireland recently and has finally discovered his Irish roots - something he insisted on when denied a chance to box for Ireland at the Olympics in 2008.

"I'm the future of heavyweight boxing and I don't go in for any toe-curling excuses. I want to be a fighter that Britain can be proud of, just the way British fans were proud of Ricky Hatton and on Saturday night fight fans will see that," says Fury.

Fury's clash with Chisora at Wembley Arena sees the return of big time boxing to terrestrial television and the fight is also being screened live in the United States, Canada and Africa.

Channel 5’s The Wright Stuff is the daily live talk show hosted by Matthew Wright. It’s recorded at Whiteley's Centre, Bayswater every Monday to Friday from 9.15am to 11am.

As well as discussing their latest project with Matthew, our daily guests, along with our regular weekly panelists, will lead us through a review of the day’s papers and participate in the three lively topical discussions of the day.

Good to see there is some cross promotion on Sky have seen some of the promo's for this on 5 recently the marketing drive is kicking in.

Now Haye is more well known than ever, outside of boxing he is now a mainstream personality. Yes, he's had some bad press, but you're only as good as your last fight.

That said, we're talking about Fury and he's a great self promoter.

I happened to read a column in the Daily Mail sports at work yesterday, Paul Samuels I think his name was, looks a bit like Andy Fordham when he was fat. .
The header read Tyson Fury something somethin kill Chisora in ring etc can't remember but the picture was of David Haye which was rather strange and the gist was that Fury promising to do all this to Chisora was dragging the game down so he bascially dragged Haye into something that was nothing to do with him
It seems to have tarnished Haye's image to a great many people which is a shame because I think he's a top greatfighter. So when Fury threatens death to Chisora he should probably take heed of the same pitfalls Dave's got himslf into.
especially when he's not half the fighter Haye is and their is a fiar chance Chisora can knock himout it could all backfire .
