My Top 100 Fights
I started listing them down for a blog. Not that I would call myself a writer, but I thought some of you might enjoy it.

Re: My Top 100 Fights
I could honestly read that all day if time permitted, Saad --- truly. Just so many great fights, & I was interested to read your description of several, both those I've seen, & those I've not.
"This was Michael's (Moorer) first Heavyweight test after a dominant --- but now over-rated --- run at Light-Heavyweight..."
Never your head-strong opinion far away.

No, didn't really enjoy it at all to be honest.SaadOffTheDeck wrote:I started listing them down for a blog. Not that I would call myself a writer, but I thought some of you might enjoy it.

I couldn't do anything that wasn't based on opinions. That takes talent. It's all in good fun.Goodnight, Irene wrote:I could honestly read that all day if time permitted, Saad --- truly. Tip o' the Stetson for your efforts here. Surprisingly I find myself in agreement with you regarding both Witherspoon and Collazo's performances on those nights.

Re: My Top 100 Fights
if Palomino - Benitez is 'only' in the 90s, i am guessing this will be a real good selection.
Re: My Top 100 Fights
I love the way Saad expresses himself.
He writes like an Uncle of mine speaks. I wonder if sadd also has high blood pressure.
The top 40 fighters piece he wrote was great too. The description of his excitement when Hearns came into the ring still stays with me.
I'll be following these...

Re: My Top 100 Fights
I'd love to see Mugabi v Green again and find out just how accurate my memory is.
I seem to remember Green, who was supposed to be the next victim pointing at Mugabi before the opening bell and yelling "You goin down". In the 4th rd, I think he caught Mugabi with a couple of left hooks and had him out on his feet. The fight looked like it was going to be an upset stoppage, but I think Mugabi was saved by the bell. The Beast rallied and took control in the second half, but I also seem to remember thinking (and I could be wrong) that the stoppage in the final rd was premature.

Re: My Top 100 Fights
Some fights I recall vividly without seeing them for years. That isn't one of them. Like I said, it's all in good fun. I'm more comfortable putting it on the list than I am recalling details.Seamus wrote:I'd love to see Mugabi v Green again and find out just how accurate my memory is.

Nicely written, Saad.

You might make Saad's top ten list for random and unecessary A-Hole comments.Knucklez wrote:No, didn't really enjoy it at all to be honest.SaadOffTheDeck wrote:I started listing them down for a blog. Not that I would call myself a writer, but I thought some of you might enjoy it.

Fine, I will make the list for you. Easily top 10SaadOffTheDeck wrote:No way, that cracked me up. I seriously laughed out loud.
Keep them coming though. I have a fight that is one of my favorites and usually doesn't get mentioned. I want to see if it hits your list.
