No disrespect to Clev (or Bellew for that matter) but lets be honest, the WBO belt don't mean much in this instance. It's a very good Domestic/Euro level scrap, neither man has proved themselves beyond that level just yet.

Looking forward to it.

It'll be in London on the 17th of September on another 'Magnificent 7' type card. Degale is already penned in to challenge for the European title on that date.

Without being disrespectful but I feel Clev is a league above Bellew and the class will show when there in the ring together. Clev is hittable though and Bellew certainly can bang but I see Clev being too versatile to skilful and just generally being too good for Bellew stopping him late

Anthony fought like that because McKenzie is a puncher who'd stunned him in the previous fight. He went away, worked on some things and made a potentially dangerous rematch into a no contest. Totally against all his natural instincts by the way which isn't easy to do for 12 rounds. Now he's gone from reckless with no chin and defence to boring. What a joke. Of course if he tries to box him it'll be tough, but it's gonna be a fight nothing more than that

Ant's never been stopped and Clev is a light puncher. No way he stops him. Let's see what happens when Clev gets hit bang on the button by a genuine puncher (which he will cos he's got little defence). Let's see what happens when he has to fight on the back foot.

It's far from a done deal. :box:

And why would it be in Cardiff. Clev couldn't sell a stamp in Cardiff let alone a ticket

He took 3,000 fans to the O2 which is 200 miles away from Wales.

I'd love for the build up to be respectful like Mitchell-Murray was but I can see some Haye/DeGale type antics from Bellew which will convince many that he can do it, and then if he doesn't the gullible buggers that bought it will go over-board in slagging him off.

No way would I watch those two again (Bellew and McKenzie), I'd rather watch paint dry. There's a difference between being defensive, ...and running scared of your opponment. Yeah he won, but don't get me started on the other guy. First time watching him. Not impressed.

ps. Clev will smash him

Looking forward to it.
Cleverly has wins over three EBU level fighters in Brancalion, Mohammedi, and Kuziemski, and a one-sided win over a top 10/12 world ranked fighter in Murat. To my knowledge every major boxing publication has Cleverly ranked in their top ten at LHW, and I can count on one hand all of the fighters at 175 who I would rank above him. Bellew, on the other hand, has been dropped several times at the British domestic level, and has never even fought an EBU level opponent, let alone someone who is generally ranked in the division's top ten. If Bellew had fought at this level he would probably not be undefeated, and this fight would probably not be happening.

I like Bomber, but he has done nothing to earn a world title fight, and he is not on the same level as Cleverly.
