if maachi were 5 years younger i could see him improving and beating them in a couple of years as it is he is 31. and with that style of relying on reflexes and speed at that age it can go at any time over the next couple of years. still hes fresh. He has it all to prove over 12. Hatton is too fast and sharp for him and brooks would knock him out

Both guys beat him up - convincingly. He won a narrow and possibly debatable decision over Lynes but I wouldn't put too much emphasis on it as its prizefighter.

Why is El Maachi being touted as a top fighter even domestically is beyond me. He didn't beat Lynes in Prizefighter and won the poorest Prizefighter ever against a well past it Junior Witter in a fight that was quite honestly, el terrible.

I liked him before but all this calling people out who are levels above him is doing my head in.

Hatton would beat him convincingly and Brook would stop him imo

I'd like to see him fight Brook as I can no longer enjoy bear baiting or hunting with dogs. Damn this politically correct world 8)

He hasn't got British citizenship. He doesn't have citizenship of a commonwealth country, either.

Beating Conception is a totally different proposition to beating Hatton or Brook, totally different.

London Irish has got this spot on - and seriously, what does he bring to the table ?
Boxing is about looking forward, not backward and with due respect El Maachi both fighters you cite have bigger fish to fry.

He gets on my nerves does Yassine. He calls out everyone & says that he can beat them. On the occasion that I have seen him he looks very amateur lunging in all the time.
Brook definately beats him, Hatton probably beats him for me.

May beat Hatton. But think Brook takes him out dramtically. Would be great fight while it lasts though.

His promotor, Steve Goodwin, has said he is trying to do this. What the regulations are I don't know.
In a previous thread on El Maachi, someone suggested that Steve could try to get Yassine a WBO African title shot or something similar, which sounds a good shout to me if UK citizenship isn't forthcoming.

Steven Hawking could get a WBO African title shot if he was prepared to pay the sanctioning fee.

Agree he should fight him; nearly everyone seems to feel he was very fortunate indeed to get the decision against Colin.

He's an entertaining fighter though, needs more exposure, he would be a great undercard fighter for ppv events.
