Re: Ali shah vs list of fighters
Ali has yet to beat anyone with a winning record. So for me meeting anyone with a winning record would be a start. Also I know he has managerial problems but 6 fights in 3 years is also a bit poor.

Re: Ali shah vs list of fighters
ali is well supported theres a kebab shop in blackpool that used to have pics of him up
Re: Ali shah vs list of fighters
well if you guys want him in with better fighters then he needs to fight guys like these u dont need to worry about him losing he will do whats needed on his side.. why would u not put him in with a few on that list is he uncapable of beating any on that list i dont think so each fighter is talented on the list get the fights on instead of trying to build guys up till they lose to thier first real step up... Ali is well supportrd he has had a 100 people come all the way from north west to come rotherham to see him fight...
Re: Ali shah vs list of fighters
fair point going by that you wouldnt but hes been unactive and he fought a tough andrew patterson last time round and stopped him in 2 round.. dont be fooled by his record..

thats where steve woods comes in and steve does good by his fighters and gets them active..!!
Re: Ali shah vs list of fighters
a stoppage win against McDonagh would be quite something if that fight could be nailled down. i think that would deffo up his estimations in people eyes
Re: Ali shah vs list of fighters
yh that seems a good match up i think hes a good brawler... makes up for a good match up!!

Re: Ali shah vs list of fighters
I think you are overdoing it a bit mate I have seen Ali Shah fight last time and he did not look that good at all against a journeyman, had a lot of trouble. He has fought 2 old men in in Taylor and Buckley and made no impression on them, Paterson was stopped by cuts. I think most of them on the list would beat Shah, Al Harbi is a totaly different leval in my opinion, he was supposed to fight dean Byrne from the Freddie roach's wild card gym in the USA who is world ranked, so I guess he is moving on to bigger fights then Ali Shah, I have watched Shah and Al Harbi and I think that Shah would be totaly out classed in a match between the two. Shah needs to fight some fighters in between the named list first before he calls them out, but if he wants a hard match then some of them on the list are Warren fighters, Ring Warren up I am sure he will be willing to put some of his fighters agaist Shah, to be honest I don't think he will be too worried.AliAsghar wrote:saturday_kid wrote:Ok mate, just read as if you were replying to your own posts as if you were a different poster. Come on Ali Ashgar your in self denial, he looks terrible in this video bro, gets hit too easily IMO, can't punch, all over the place, trying to copy Naz, BADLY, even the the flip was clumsy, nearly fell over, anybody decent will give him real problems, why switch to the crowd after ? Did not seem to be much support for shah, was that you in the back ground telling someone Shah would knock them out for a bet of 500 quid, I will give you some advice, keep your money in your pocket bro, don't throw it away. I had an Asian fighter in my stable who knew Ali Shah and had watched him fight, I asked him how good he was, as I was interested, he told me not very good and that Nasser Al Harbi would stop him inside 2 rounds, if you want the fight call Frank Warrens office, ask him if Ali Shah can fight Al Harbi on one of his shows, we will be happy to be of service.

I'm not saying Ali Shah would beat Nasser Al Harbi - I've not seen Shah, but I have seen Nasser a few times and I just think he's a tad overrated what I've saw of him - he's had a lot of people saying how great he is going to be, I haven't saw that yet in person.

ok fair enough you are entitled to your opinion maybe they will beat him all good fighters its here on the forum its open dean powell checks these forums and reporters if any of the fight could be made then thats great im sure Ali is in this sport to fight not shy away from them and all these guys have good records and im sure these fights can happen.. lets forget about who is better than who maybe you are right and maybe you are wrong if you want to go off records and hearsay thats fine...
Ali has sparred with dean byrne and ronnie heffron and shane singleton all really good prospects and gets good guys like that for sparring aswell as others such as robin ried who he sparred and sparred well with all of them and has sparring with them hopefully on a regular basis..
and Ali hasnt called them out im just making a list of interesting fights they would make if they were made and if they did then great...im not disrespecting harbi just like you said ali gets hit easily from what i seen in his video he doesnt where as harbi he does and Ali has been unactive for a year and its been getting him active the main thing..
i didnt make that video it was whoevere records for david coldwell for his shows and again alot of people came late to his fight and ppl were still walking in to watch and david coldwell only lets u box on his show if u sell a minimum 100 tickets which Ali did...
and no i dont bet and i came to my brothers fight in the last round as i thought he was boxing around 5 but enjoyed watching shane singleton and kenny andrson and luke blackledges fight so was worth going anyway...
im not Ali shahs manager im his brother so il leave that for his management.. :)

Re: Ali shah vs list of fighters
Ali from what I have seen Ali Shah does get hit, mainly when hen he goes back on the ropes, Paterson did hit him a lot, but he is very entertaining and good for the sport and he is a boxer which is also good for the sport,so I wish him all the best in his career.AliAsghar wrote:English Wizard wrote:I think you are overdoing it a bit mate I have seen Ali Shah fight last time and he did not look that good at all against a journeyman, had a lot of trouble. Re: Ali shah vs list of fighters
I have seen him fight and think he is a really good prospect, as for being overated you could say that about any young fighter and as for people saying how great he can be that's peoples opinions, your opinion is different thats boxing, I am sure a young boxer does not want the pressure of high expectation or to be labeled overated either.saturday_kid wrote:I'm not saying Ali Shah would beat Nasser Al Harbi - I've not seen Shah, but I have seen Nasser a few times and I just think he's a tad overrated what I've saw of him - he's had a lot of people saying how great he is going to be, I haven't saw that yet in person.

Fair point we all have different opinions and that's boxing.. Ali does let fighters come on to him on the ropes and takes shots that are thrown off by using his shoulder and that's for a certain reason.. Il let you figure that one out.. There are alot of prospects out there that are good for sure and I respect your opinion and appreciate your comments thanks for wishing him the best and I'm sure he will try to improve each fight and put good performances to prove that he's as good as he thinks at the moment I can understand why you might think he isnt as good to beat some of the guys on that list this is a tough sport so the pressure is something each fighter has to know how to deal with and he's confident in his ability..

The people who recorded this or the camera men that were recording this at dave coldwells show were talking in the background and if u watch the full fight video they showed crowd reactions in parts of Alis fight in the end that's not any of Alis supporters just some guy recording talking to some other guy if that's what u talking about.. So ask dave coldwell who his camera man is because he seems to find Ali entertaining..

Re: Ali shah vs list of fighters
Nasser Al Harbi has been sparring with Kell brook and will be sparring with him on a regular basis on Kell's request, so I think he is doing quiet well. How did you do with Byrne, Singleton and Heffron Bro ? and what are your plans now you have got a new promoter, don't get me wrong rivals are good for the industry, keeps it interesting, but I think Ali Shah needs more experience, then we will be able to see his true potential.AliAsghar wrote:English Wizard wrote:I think you are overdoing it a bit mate I have seen Ali Shah fight last time and he did not look that good at all against a journeyman, had a lot of trouble.
