Amateur national tournaments for 2012

Life goes on, in spite of the Olympics. All normal championships will happen, as usual: Silver Gloves, US Championships, JOs, PAL.

Once the U.S. Olympic boxing team is decided, they must still qualify in Continental, or Americas, qualifiers in order to participate in the 2012 Olympics. To answer your question, in order to qualify for the Americas competition in Rio, you must be on the 2012 U.S. Olympic boxing team (to be decided this month).

Thanks. I won't be age eligible to compete in the 2016 olympics, but can I still compete in national tournaments from now until the games?

Unfortunately for you, yes. :( You'd only be able to compete for a couple of years.
